My SIL just recently had a stroke and it has devastated the family, because she has been such an integral part of it.

The details are all on the blog, and if I were to write about her, it would be pages and pages.

In the kindest way possible, the term “matriarch” describes what she means to us.

She has always been there to guide, advise and help, and these next few days are crucial ones, because of the intracranial pressure, among other things.

With my limited medical background, I have tried my best to be encouraging, but I have seen strokes end badly before, so I think she needs some strength in toughts and spiritual help.

I know this is a place you can come to if you’re in trouble and so I come to you in her behalf.

Please spare a thought and/or a prayer for Betty.

I have seen remarkable recoveries following stroke.

Perhaps you are the new strength in the family. Sure looks like it.

It’s a tough row to hoe. But it has to be done.

We’re all keeping the faith for her recovery, but yeah, things are very iffy with the Mannitol and the vent.

We also have a neurosurgeon on the case who says a (what’s it called?) *trepanning *was in order if we can keep her stable enough.

enipla: I hope that, in whatever way you meant what you wrote, it turns out as positive as possible for you! (((((((enipla))))))!

Anf finally, I hope it’s okay if I refer to y’all as my “kids”?

Maybe some of you are my age, close to it, or even older, and y’all have been very kind to me, so I look at you that way…:slight_smile:
