Last month there was snow. Recently the morning temperatures have been 30°F to 35°F. My morning routine was to get out from under the electric blanket, put on my sweatpants and slippers, put the kettle on, and turn on the heater. Since I sleep with the heater off, it’s been in the low-40s in the house when I get up. This morning I thought I’d left the heater on. 50°F. I looked out the back window, and it’s nearly 50 outside (and raining). It’s positively balmy!
Lucky you. I’m freezing my ass off. I have a space heater running under my desk, the heat is set on 70 and I have a blanket over me. I hate winter in this drafty old house.
Yeah, all the snow’s melting here in central Oregon… kinda sucks. We had such a nice winter there for a bit.
And, dammit, I just started my holiday break- 12 days off! And now the snowboarding’s gonna suck. Well, at least I’ll be able to get all my Christmas shopping done.
Highs today will be mid 30s. Tomorrow, we leave for Florida. From the looks of the long range forecast, their lows will be higher than our highs. Christmas is supposed to be about 70. Yay!
I’m headed to L.A. for Christmas, and right now the high on Saturday is 74. It looks like it will be a couple of degrees cooler on Christmas day, but since I’ll be in Hollywood, it will be a bit warmer than the L.A.X. forecast. So it will likely be in the 70’s. I can’t tell you how many Christmases I’ve spent sweating in my neato Christmas sweaters that I feel compelled to wear on Christmas day. Sheesh.
Of course, that’s precisely why I live where I do. So yeah, it’s warm here, too.
We’re having a heatwave here also - our high today is 25F.
Break out the shorts and t-shirts!
Nyyaaaargh. grumps from up in -12 C (10.4 F) Toronto
The forcast is for the 70s in Austin this weekend.
Driving around town today, had to turn on the AC. Close to 80 degrees today and for the next 5 days. We will be able to do our traditional Christmas hike and swim. Let’s see, 118 degrees in July vs. a spectacular and warm winter. Yeah, it’s worth it!
