It looks like I’m going to have a few hours to kill in Leeds on Monday - roughly mid-afternoon til about 8 pm-ish. Anyone free to meet up?

I finish work around 5’00pm so I could get down to Leeds by 6’30pm, I have to get home and feed the kittens and sort out the litter tray first, then I can leap on the train.

You’ll need quicktime installed to view the site, which you can download from the same place, it’s pretty cool as you can zoom, pan, and elevate the viewpoint of Leeds you select.
I don’t know exactly how that link sets itself up but the page I was trying to link to has the same address as the entire Leeds VR site.
If you click onto the Leeds VR street atlas then click on ‘Civic hall and Millenium Square’ and last of all where it says ‘The Leeds Town Hall’ you should get the virtual reality file I was trying to point you to in the first place.

Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I am working nights this week so I don’t get time to surf (too expensive during the day)
Next week I am starting work at 3:30pm and working until 11:30, the late shift, so I would not be able to make it that night

I’m living in York at the moment, and I don’t think I’ll be working on Monday (temping … things can change rapidly). E-mail me over the next day or so if you’ve got any interest in meeting for lunch, I can get to Leeds without much trouble.
If not – well, would anybody be interested in a LeedsDope between now and mid-August? (I believe RickQ made the suggestion ages ago, but in the absence of the obligatory American Chick Organiser, it seems to have been ignored…)
York is a great place for a night out, especially down by the Kings Arms.

I’m here 'til the 16th of August but would rather not schedule anything in the last week or so; when and where I’ll be working is still up in the air, but most evenings are probably OK. And York would be cool 'cos I can almost certainly drag the male porpentine along (he reads the boards, but I’m not sure he’s ever posted).

I’m on holiday from the end of July until mid-August, but am likely to wander up to Edinburgh for a week just to chill out.
Sorry, Fretful, but I’ve only just seen your post. Shame we didn’t get to meet up again.
Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be able to afford going back to England for a good few months at least. Next time you come back (and I’m sure you will :)) we’ll arrange something.
Oh, and in case it isn’t obvious from the fact that I’m posting this, no probs with passport control in either country …
