Having read your other posts, I think we would all appreciate it if you would pull that little finger out of wherever it is you are sticking it and use it for something like writing once in a while, because whatever it is you are using in the meantime sure isn’t doing the trick.
It’s not even just that. He played footsie dog whistle about deporting and banning people, for a year and a half. And when asked about it he weaseled and prevaricated. And he had clowns trumpsplain him to make it so he could keep trolling the media on it the whole fucking time. CNN has given over their whole format, in the evening at least, to the splaining.
This is offensive. People referring to it on a dais for a public event? Get fucking real.
Still pretending not to know what a “fake story” is, or are you actually that stupid?
The Golden Globes are minor even by the standard of entertainment industry awards. Unlike the Oscars or SAG awards, they aren’t actually peer recognition awards. Why the hell were you watching them if you don’t care about actors as artists?
As for your bragging about your alleged creativity, if you were such a wonderful artist, we’d all have heard of you. We haven’t, so you aren’t.
Waaaaah, Trump is being criticized by librul actress and poor little alt-righty can’t take it.
What a fucking hypocrite; I don’t remember you getting upset when Chuck Norris, Victoria Jackson, Clint Eastwood, Ted Nugent, etc… were bitching about Obama. Its obvious your panties only get in a twist when it is your ox being gored.
You didn’t know? He wrote the ad copy for a certain soft drink. He was so proud of it he named himself after it.
He actually is that stupid. I have my doubts he even writes his own posts. He just sits there and laughs while his aide does the rest.
Nobody’s that good a play-actor.
Some people are even naive enough to suspect a message-board in any way remotely reflects a broader consensus of the country at large.
How’d that work out for ya back in November?
If by edgy you mean sharp, cutting, then OK, if you say so.
If you mean irritable, testy, then yes. Isn’t that what the Pit is for?
I’m not really seeing your point.
I see why you’re going with laconic though. It can give the impression of wit at a quick glance although when you look at it again you realize that nothing much is being said at all. But who looks closely at a Pit post, eh?
I have to admit your trainwreck of thoughts is mildly entertaining to observe. But it’s not giving you any credibility in judging art or creativity. You would do better to focus on coherent thoughts. Perhaps you could develop some of your own instead of clumsily paraphrasing others you don’t seem to understand.
Or as though his worldview was worthy of any respect, even before saying crap like this:
Oh fuck that shit with a rake. A screenwriter may write a character, a director may direct a shot, but it is the actor who truly brings that character out. While in some cases the director really does deserve more credit, it often is the case that actors really create the characters they act, in a far more tangible way than you might imagine. Harrison Ford didn’t read Han Solo’s famous response to Leia’s confession of love off a script, he ad-libbed one of the most famous lines of his entire career because he not only understood Han Solo, but he more or less created Han Solo.
Honestly, the fact that you’re defending Trump on this one and pushing the tired old “shut up and sing” argument should anger me more, but talking smack about actors, particularly Meryl Streep, is dumb and you should feel bad about it.
Yes. Much the way Elections is a home for your bottomless serial of Chris Farleyesque “you guys 'member when Hillary lost? That was awesome!” threads.
He said that about people who are in the country illegally, not foreigners in general (such as the foreign press, for example, who she intimated was among those soon to be kicked out).
It was immoral in that it placed more concern about people getting kicked out of the country on its impact on the arts, rather than upon them and their lives and families as people. I can guarantee you that if some conservative made a remark like “I oppose kicking out illegal immigrants because then we’d lose their contribution to the arts”, said conservative would be reviled as both racist and inhumane.
You missed the left-wing brouhaha that occurred when Steve Martin made his ‘sexist’ comments about how beautiful he thought Carrie Fisher was? There’s a thread about it on this board.
Only fucking morons and trolls such as yourself can say someone is a satirist, and then not even understand the definition of the word.
Like anybody bitching about Streep’s speaking out at the Golden Globes (“hijacking an entertainment event”) give two flying fucks about either the Golden Globes or Meryl Streep. If you don’t like what she said, fine. Who am I to try to pound sense into you, but don’t give me this bullshit about being offended because she used an award show as a platform.
Here’s a hint: it’s an award show. It doesn’t really mean shit in the first place. Why not use it as a platform?
A total and complete ban on Muslims…
Was not in reference to Muslims who just happened to already be here illegally.
But it sure did pander to the thick forheaded Trump voters.
Funny, I thought she was a US citizen and therefore had a constitutional right to address her political concerns. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
And provide evidence that Clinton raped anybody. Nobody has ever proven that.
I am not defending Trump on this subject in the least. I don’t want to hear about it at all from an actor. I don’t want to hear Trump’s commentary on the arts either. It’s entirely possible for both of them to be wrong, something neither one of them wants you to be able to accept so that every political issue turns into the kind of tribal shit flinging that we’ve just endured. It’s a particularly dumb approach for the side trying to take the moral high ground since that isn’t going to isn’t going to be based on the production of the most shit flung the furthest.
It’s not really a “spot-on rendition” since he’s the voice actor who created that rendition.
