I can’t guarantee that I’m going to make it. (Oh, how incredibly surprising of me…) A number of reasons contribute to this, the biggest two being that I’ve been awake since Tuesday, and I can’t even tell you what day it is today.

The guys bought the ingredients for the jambalaya tonight, and if we find a big enough pot pretty soon, it will be ready sometime tomorrow in the early afternoon.

Anyway, there’s no way I’ll be there at all. A friend of mine is going to Las Vegas for a week and he wants me to stay at his house while he’s gone. I was really amazed that he asked me, but it makes sense considering that we were together for two years and he trusts me a lot.
I’d ask you all over (he said I could party), but it’s in Pine City.

I was just at the Mall yesterday. Bought a snow blower, in fact. It’s pretty nice when it’s uncrowded.

I wish more Dopers could have come to vist while our friends are here, but they have promised to return when they can stay longer (and maybe by that time I’ll be able to get more vacation time to spend with them).
I woke this morning to the smell of jambalaya cooking (it has to cook all night and a good portion of the day). Our neighbors, some friends and family will be dropping in and out all day after two to sample it. We may end up going down town St. Cloud tonight if chique isn’t too tired, because this is the annual Halloween costume party night (the Saturday before or on Halloween), and the college kids really come up with some creative outfits.

The comedy club at the Megamall is called Knuckleheads. I can check on them anytime. If anyone has any certain dates they’re interested in, just let me know.
Typical ticket prices at Knuckleheads are $7-9 during the week and $10-12 on weekends. Tuesdays are free because they’re open mike nights and anyone can walk up to the stage and give it a shot. Sundays are smoke free. And, I think it’s Wednesdays when you can get a free admission if you buy a dinner at Player’s restaurant right across the hall.
You have to be at least 21 to enter.
Well, it looks like Cajun Man and DrMatrix are staying one more day, so that gives you MinnDopers another chance to see them.
