Ok D/a. No problem, your post there probably got me going in this direction in the first place. As a matter of fact, I think this thread should focus on you now. I’ve thought from the start that the focus should shift to someone else, but I just couldn’t think of anyone else who would be happy to lend themself as the new focus.

Many boards have a generic welcoming thread where new posters can get all this, Hiya, how’s it hanging out of their systems and the congenial residents can pop in and out with welcomes, advice and whathaveyou while the more staid types can just avoid the thread. My favorite welcome thread was a constant food battle which was always enjoyable.

Oh, I know, it just kind of got under my skin. And I would hope if there is something I do that is troll-like or irritating that someone would tell me so I could do better. I really like this place and wish to remain. You wouldn’t believe the number of times I’ve had to stifle laughter from reading stuff on here.
Just thanking him for the welcome after being irritated about the thread (things are cool now though after TriPolar explained). I know of Shodan’s rep.

I could be wrong, I only lurked about a year before I first posted. Maybe they used to be the fashionable thing to do?
