Elvis, your combination of (real or feigned) ignorance of facts, along with your accusation that others are ignoring facts, has seduced me into breaking my promise and responding again.
If you believe that Scaife or American Spectator are presumed liars, you should prove it.
Facts? What facts? Any? No.

Fact re Commodities:
– HRC made $100,000 in commodities in a few days, while risking almost nothing.
– She know nothing about commidities.
– She had never invested in commodities before.
– Despite this remarkable gain, she never agains invested in commodities.
– There is a mechanism by which a sleazy broker can set up a series of opposite trades in his own name; by always giving the profit to one particular party, he can secretly have the effect of moving money from the other party.
– All the brokers records related to her trades had been destroyed.
Facts re Hassidic Jews:
– Well over 99% of the votes in that Hassidic town when to HRC.
– Hassidic Jews are normally a conservative group.
– Bill Clinton pardoned some Hassidic leaders at that time.
– There was no justifiction for the pardons.
– HRC denied ever having met with representatives of the Hassidim, but it was shown that she had met with them.
I invite readers to draw their own conclusions.
According to a friend (a liberal Democrat who supports her and Bill) who knew her in college, her nickname was “the communist.”
Elvis, if you didn’t pay attention to the news, that’s your lookout. This issue was widely reported. HRC gave a press conference denying the story. You can search for it yourself.
I claim Dick Morris is an ideal source for something that was said to Dick Morris. (Again, Elvis, if you want to assert that Morris ought not to be believed, you need to demonstrate that he’s a big liar, not just snidely imply it.)
You’re kidding, right? I can name three people in this thread alone who will wave the burning effigy of G. W. Bush just as high, if not higher, than Osama Bin Laden’s boys will.
Elvis:
“Pot calling Kettle, Pot calling Kettle; come in Kettle. Are you ‘black,’ over?”
Ya know, regardless of political leanings, I have a lot of respect for quite a few people on this message board for their clarity of thought and self honesty.
Even assuming that there was a “vast right-wing conspiracy” to get the Clintons, do you help them or your cause by descending to the same muckraking level to get George W. Bush? Pundits aside, do you think it really helps the cause of Democrats and liberalism?
If so, you are just as guilty of the arrogance displayed by the “V.R.W.C.” in assuming that the public is just too fucking stupid to see through you, your pettiness, and your hypocrisy.
I am reminded of a story about Lyndon Johnson: according to legend, in his second run for the Texas Legislature, he called upon his press guy to spread the rumor that his opponent had sexual relations with his cattle. His press guy was aghast.
“Lyndon, you can’t go around saying your opponent *s his cattle!”
“Of course not. But you do your job right, and we can make him deny it.”
Upton Sinclair: “There are two things no civilized person should ever have to witness: one is what really goes into sausage, and the other is how a Texas politician makes his daily bread.”
How about a cite for this? If it’s true then perhaps she deserved to be booed. Which terrorist groups did she support and what was the nature of the support?
Cute story, but not applicable here. There were 3 witnesses, all Democratic supporters of Bill Clinton, who confirmed HRC’s comments. Please go to Google and enter “Hillary Clinton Jew Bastard.”

Scylla: You are just going to mix and match until you illicit the right emotional repsonse out of this aren’t you? However, I do have a take on why the people booed Hillary. I think they booed her because she is such a dispicable person that her presence was an insult to the people you speak of with regards to the WTC. And, I agree with them. To take it to the extreme, and this an extreme so you can see the ethical and moral points; it would be extremely horrible to have Hitler raising money for Israel.
To Scylla and Stoid:
As far as people go, I think EVERYONE initially deserves the same level of respect using both definitions. The only difference between the way I would treat the President and a stranger would be protocol not intent. People can slide up or down from there, but initially EVERYONE should be treated with the same respect. Remeber the Declaration of Independence regarding equality? I would treat President Washington with a trillion times more respect than President (Smokin Kitty Kat Cigars) Clinton because Washington has earned a higher level and Clinton less. I would also treat Clinton with more respect than a child-molesting pimp.
As far as offices go, in and of themselves, I do not hold any of them in High Regard because it is the person holding that office that truly determines what level of respect to give it. It is concievable that a President could be so wrong that a revolution to overthrow the government is justified. In that case I would go to war against the President because of the person. You would sit at home wishing you could get a medal from a conceptual entity.
Blindly giving devotion to these things just strips away your right to evaluate life, people and things they way they should. Thomas Jefferson would be very disappointed.
At the very least, the fact that she rolled her eyes while watching W. give the first major presidential speech after 9/11 probably inspired a lot of resentment.
So “dispicable”, in fact, that she was elected to be New York’s representative in the Senate.
I’m sorry; I have been awfully busy for the last few years. Did I miss the news stories when Hillary had six million firemen and police officers rounded up and methodically killed?
For future reference, it’s generally considered bad form to use Hitler in a comparison in this sort of discussion. It is a completely invalid comparison unless you can point to any way in which Hillary Clinton wronged this specific group of people that could remotely be compared to Hitler’s actions against the Jews. Until then, it says more about your own biases (which you admit) than the point you are trying to make.
Hey, it’s a start.
If a camera was trained on you or me 24-7, I’m sure we would both make facial expressions and gestures that could be completely misconstrued. I’m willing to give her the benefit of the doubt on this one. At least she didn’t explain that she could “support our troops without supporting the President”, like SOME Senators we could mention.
Lets all say it together, “My mind is closed, my mind is closed, my mind is closed.”
I didn’t compare Hitler to that hypocritical b#$%h. That would be unfair to Hitler.
I compared the SITUATIONS. I even wrote in a caveat so it wouldn’t be taken the wrong way. Another case of someone either not reading or just not capable of understanding what is written in a post.
I’m a card-carrying Republican but I, too, am puzzled why people are sooooo scornful of Hilary Clinton. Yes, I disagree with her a lot, esp. her social programs. But I can understand her point of view and feel that her heart is in the right place. I find her to be thoughtful, passionate, and intelligent…if a bit misguided.
A strong, opiniated man is bad enough (Ted Turner, Donald Trump) but a strong, opiniated woman seems to bring out the WORST in people.
Like I stated in my earlier posts that if a person had to live up to a mythical standard of good to be elected then no one would, most especially the people who actually hold office right now.
I see your point about using Hitler as a tool in this argument. Everyone here is so touchy.
I used Hitler because most people see no good in the guy, including myself, so there is little worry of having grey issues come up about him. The point was, and this is my opinion, that the firefighters don’t think highly of Hillary, they don’t respect her (if you will), and they felt that her presence at this gathering was so insulting they booed her. Obviously the Clinton fans would disagree with this and wouldn’t possibly even try to understand someone’s emotions that don’t correspond to theirs.
And, the point that was lost a few posts back, I also stated I don’t think positions, titles, honors, medals, papers, elected posts or anything like these things automatically gives a person MORE respect than anyone else.
It is one’s deeds that elevates not the suit you are wearing. And, a suit without a body is nothing but clothe.
