Hillary just lost the election.

I agree, the part about not disclosing the pneumonia diagnosis from Friday until today (when it might seem a ‘good explanation’ for the collapse) is also damaging. As is the fact that lots of Hillary-skeptic people, not limited to conspiracy theorists, pointed out that Hillary was coughing disturbingly much lately and were told they were imagining it. Apparently not.

However Hillary had near zero credibility already with people who might swing either way in the election. Trump has little more (his ‘honest and trustworthy’ numbers have improved relative to hers in polls recently but both as still bad). What seems to me the bigger difference is just the fact that her health problem is real, to some degree, because people who haven’t decided based on ideology or identity are going to look at stuff like that.

But I agree in general with your posts on this. This isn’t fatal necessarily, Trump still has all the same potential as he did yesterday to create more problems for himself and his rally lately has only been to close, not ahead. But it’s probably a notable negative for Clinton, in a number of aspects as you’ve mentioned.

Too late to change the ballot in most states.

Not to worry though, she would probably pull 35% if she was dead. Then the electors can choose someone else.

That is a very misleading tweet. There is rumored to be a meeting. One of the powers of the committee is to replace the nominee… Therefore … Committee might be meeting to replace Clinton!!! No, that’s too many ifs.

Back in reality, it appears that a new ABC poll has Hillary +8. Of course the DNC is not going to replace her unless there is much more to her health than has come to light- a cancer diagnosis or the like.

Just want to throw out a possibility no one has mentioned yet. Could it be that she passed out because she was wearing kevlar and a ceramic plate under her coat because some wingnut called for Second Amendment supporters to exercise their rights against her?

It’s 5 considering that Johnson and Stein are on the ballot in the key states. It’s no longer a 2-person race, and 3rd parties will be a factor this year.

IMO, the real danger is this: what happens if even a handful of democrats come out in the next 24 hours and suggest she step aside?

Her doctor said she has pneumonia. That’s the story. Other factors won’t really get a lot of traction in the political discourse.

Meh…

That footage of her letting her alien lizard tongue slip out is totally photoshopped IMO.

When people point out that Trump won’t get much beyond 41 percent, I agree - he probably won’t. I think the extreme right wing probably knows that as well. The objective, thus, is to tear Hillary to pieces so that she gets down into 38-41 percent territory…which is very doable. And it’s doable when you basically confirm that a conspiracy theory has legs after all, which she did today.

That’s what they want you to think.

I was hospitalized five days with pneumonia. IV antibiotics and I was pretty sick. Thankfully I never required a ventilator. I was weak for several days after going home.

I hope Hillary takes a few days off and gets well. If she pushes herself this illness could linger for weeks. Maybe even get worse.

Wow.

Guess what’s the number one trending topic on Facebook now:

“Hillary Clinton - 1M people talking about this”

It’s an article on HRC having pneumonia

Not to mention the green blood.

No; that would be “but as said I: see you will”.

And why would they do that?

Ignore it. He’s had nothing of substance to add to this board since joining. Just consider it background noise.

If the fact that Hillary got pneumonia for a week takes center stage in all Trump’s messaging between now and November, while Hillary continues to say on message on issues of substance, then he’s going to lose even more badly than is being generally predicted. And if Bannon makes up some lie about Hillary’s health, it’s got to be credible with the general electorate – the campaign is no longer just dealing with Trump’s idiot base who will believe anything.

It’s both personally and politically unfortunate that she’s sick – no way this is a good thing, but I refuse to believe that the whole political system itself is so sick that this can be spun into some kind of political turning point. People are voting for a president, fer chrissake, not Batman.

Clinton has now announced she is cancelling her trip to California.

You’re not paying very close attention to the facts.
