Nah. First year it was, especially the monologue about the stress of internship, but then they must’ve fired their consultant. They started hold the speculum for intubation upside down and of course the whole rape storyline.
Hey I said St. Elsewhere was the closest, not perfect. I still say that compared to any other medical show it’s about 1000 times more accurate. ER was accurate for the pilot and then lost it. At least St. Elsewhere knew that there were actually specialists, that a cardiologist and a cardiac surgeon are two very different things and that ER doctors don’t start dialysis or give chemotherapy. (You are right about the first season-I remember seeing the episode where they “lost” a patient and thinking “Hey-that happened to me.” I still remember frantically searching the hospital to try to find her before the attending showed up to rip me a new one. We finally found her in the church across the street. That and the patient with a brain lesions who tried to kill me with his IV pole before being wrestled to the ground by a couple of my interns remain among the highlights of my residency.)
As far as POTS goes, I’m not sure that there is a definite diagnostic criteria based on frequency of symptoms but AIUI, you have to document either an abnormal tilt table test or orthostatic tachycardia out of proportion to the drop in blood pressure, as well as additional symptoms such as headache and fatigue. However, it’s a difficult diagnosis because you are supposed to exclude dehydration as a cause of symptoms even though dehydration is considered a contributing factor to bring on POTS symptoms. Therefore, I would want further evaluation before stating that this is what CLinton has, especially since I tend to think of POTS as a much more chronic, almost daily thing, rather than once every several months.
Something wrong with men?
Well it all starts with a deformity on chromosome 23.
That’s no way to treat Christie…
The option is clear: tell the truth.
No need to announce anything in advance, either Friday or Saturday–that generates rumors…
But she should have made the annoncement when it was necessary–the moment when she staggered and almost collapsed.
That’s the moment when her staff declares -proudly and publicly:
“She took 20 miligrams of antibiotics this morning to clear up a lung infection, so she needs to rest. Doctor Smith examined her yesterday and prescribed the antibiotics, and feels that the medicine will take another day or two to kill the bacteria.”
Simple, direct, and easy for the public to handle.
After all, everybody takes antibiotics.Even the people who watch Fox news.
The idea that announcing she was sick earlier might have been described as “trying to steal attention away from the memorial” is pretty damn ridiculous.
The idea that any statement coming from the Clinton campaign would not be greeted with derision by The Usual Suspects is ridiculous.
It’s a fan-boy fantasy argument. The press are such meanies that Hillary has to lie for the good of… something.
It’s basically fifty-fifty that whatever he releases will be accompanied by illustrations made with pencil crayons.
Bingo.
No one questioned Mitt Romney’s health because he looks better than most people half his age and he’s 69! That certainly can’t be said of Clinton. In fact, maybe Clinton should fundraise less, and workout more. What’s the excuse? She doesn’t have access to exercise equipment? She doesn’t have access to healthy food? She hasn’t been properly educated on how to stay fit?
For the lizard-people, her physique is actually incredibly fit and strong. She occasionally comes down with something in the Earth environment due to some incompatibilities with her lizard physiology, but her inherent hardiness and toughness always overcomes this.
All hail the lizard queen!
That’s just the news the Romney Campaign has been waiting for! Clinton is a workaholic; “working out” won’t keep you from getting pneumonia. She needs to rest up for the first debate–so she can make Trump look like the fool he is.
Perhaps Trump himself ought to work out. There are visions of Naked Trump on the 'net. Google at your peril. Not safe for Work or Keeping Down the Breakfast,
Yes, that’s fair. But that’s one of a very few instances in which Trump was held accountable for his over-the-top pronouncements.
Well, he has so many that folks have to choose their battles. Seems like the 24 hours news folks believe Americans can focus on only one thing at a time.
I’ve got the news on right now (MSNBC) and the latest outrage is that Pence refuses to call David Duke “deplorable”, even though he explicitly says he denounces him. The interviewer is just egging on some Trump operative and insisting that Dave Duke must be called “deplorable”. We must have mud-slinging!!!
So what if the Usual Suspects make some silly claim? Do you think CNN or the Washington Post would have run the headline “Clinton announces illness in attempt to upstage 9/11 memorial!”. Of course not. But you know what story they are going to run? “Hillary fails to disclose illness. Nearly collapses at 9/11 memorial”.
Why does this thread even exist? From now on every time Trump does something stupid I’m going to start a thread ‘Trump just lost the election’
• Trump insults gold star family -> Trump just lost the election
• Trump corrects veteran with PTSD and displays no empathy -> Trump just lost the election
•Trump erroneously claims that the TPP includes China -> Trump just lost the election
•Trump Jr tweets racist meme with “anti racist is a code phrase for anti-white” -> Trump just lost the election
See how easy it is?
I will bet the OP $100 that this stumble will cost Clinton no more than 2 or 3 points for a week (at absolute max) then it will be forgotten and she’ll bounce back. It’s simply moronic to think it would cost her the election.
In the Primaries that is pretty close to what happened. There was a new Trump thread every couple of days. He wore everyone out.
And it wasn’t a stumble. They had to haul her into the car.
