Hillary just lost the election.

Huh? Are you trying to argue that you care about a video artifact that may or may not be something falling from Hillary for reasons other than Alex Jones conspiracy theories?

So let’s get this straight, you’d vote for someone whose policies and beliefs are the direct opposite of what you believe in because your parties leader might be sick? And you really think a lot of American’s also have such a superficial view of what leadership and their own beliefs are that they’d be swayed by this?

Wow you have a really low opinion of the American public. Personally I think they are better than this.

Yeah, shestopped speaking for just a second and they rushed in. The one guy gave her words of encouragement that were repeated almost word for word once she came out of it. A person pausing in the middle of a speech isn’t a big deal, but there were five SS guys around her in seconds - they seemed to realize it wasn’t just a pause in her speech.

In that video, I wouldn’t have given a second thought to that pause or her train of thought once she came back around, but the way the SS reacted is pretty strange.

I’m sure there’s an explanation for it all, just not sure pneumonia is it.

The ones where she goes bug eyed with strange head movement are the more bizarre ones, but maybe that’s just the way she acts.

What pop tops come off any more?

Sorry, I thought I put “I don’t want this to be misconstrued as an endorsement for Trump” at the start of that post.

Oh wait, I did:

Yes sure Duke of Rat, you’re “just asking questions” and you’re concerned.

Hey ever heard of FDR? Widely regarded as one of the greatest US presidents despite being confined to a wheelchair for a large part of his life. Here is the reality, Clinton in a wheel chair or even confined to a hospital bed would be an infinitely better leader for the US than cheeto cock splat. The guy that is in favour of torture, that admires a totalitarian leader openly, that has so much to hide that he can’t release his own tax returns or medical records, the guy that has thousands of court cases against him for not paying his bills, and who has currently a fraud case (Trump U) and a civil rape case against him. You think that guy would do a better job, just because she might be sick? What’s wrong with you?

Googling suggests the separable versions of these went obsolete in the late 1970s.

Since this seems to be an ongoing point of confusion for some, a pop-top is what cans all over the world currently use. They replaced the pull tab which was that little thing with a ring on it.

A pop-top could still be separated from the can easily and wind up on a city sidewalk.

Whether it’s a pop-top, pen cap, earring, or whatever doesn’t really matter. It didn’t originate on Clinton’s body. It was kicked into her leg from the sidewalk by the woman to her left.

It isn’t uncommon for people of her age to lose their train of thought or lapse on something they intend to say just as they’re about to say it. What they want to say just evaporates. I’ve even seen it happen to Bill Gates, who is considerably younger. He was talking along, making a point about something, and lapsed on the name of it right in the middle of the sentence. So I didn’t really think Hillary’s lapse was that big a deal.

My guess is that that’s her idea of trying to be humorous or funny, things she probably has little experience trying to pull off.

But you don’t seem to have grasped that you’re not allowed to ask questions or say things about Hillary that might in any way reflect negatively on her, lest this tend to improve Trump’s chances.

The truth must be subordinated to the narrative.

I’ve always heard that in private, she is quite personable and has a great sense of humor. She doesn’t come across that way in public, but that shouldn’t keep someone from voting for her.

More than any election in history, this one presents a clear choice between good and evil. Hillary may not be perfectly good, but Trump is perfectly evil.

I am pretty positive that cold chai thing was her trying to do a showy/comical look of surprise or shock but man was it a bad job of it.

The sheer irony of people trying to make this an issue when Trump cannot say one coherent complete sentence. Watch Clinton’s alt-right speech, she’s sharp, coherent and completely on message.

Here it is, all 30 minutes are well worth watching:

Now here is a sentence from one of Trump’s speech’s where they attempt to diagram it linguistically:

Trump’s speech is a symptom of early onset Alzheimer’s (which his father had) and that is certainly a bigger issue than collapsing from heat / pneumonia .

You appear to be reading way to much into what I posted. I’ve posted here that I would never vote for Trump. I think he is possibly the stupidest candidate to ever have run for President (Palin aside, she was only VP candidate), and would do irreparable harm to the country if elected. I will not vote for Trump, I will not try to persuade others to vote for Trump, and I think it’s an insult to the country that Trump is even on the ballot.

As I said before, questioning the lockstep dismissal of any concerns over Hillary’s health does NOT make me a Trump supporter. I realize it’s posting poison here to dare veer from the “Hillary is fine, just a little pneumonia” talking point, but trust me - this doesn’t make me a Trump supporter.

I do not support Trump. I will not vote for Trump. I will not advocate anybody else to vote for Trump. I think Trump is an idiot. I think Trump as President would be an disaster unlike any this country has ever faced.

Still doesn’t mean I have to blindly chant “Nothing wrong with Hillary, just a little pneumonia”.

So that’s what’s wrong with me.

We’re talking about the people who re-elected W in 2004, right? Because he had a better Vietnam war record than Kerry, right?

Agreed, and I said as much (lest somebody jump on me as a Trump supporter). But did Gates have 5 body guards rush to his aide when he lost his train of thought?

Disclaimer: Me bringing up Hillary freezing up in the middle of a speech and SS agents rushing to her does NOT make me a Trump supporter.

Ok. So when do we get to diagnose Trump with all his fucking tics and facial spasms. And just what the hell is he hiding by painting his entire skull orange - except for the eyes which are pinker than Barbie’s bedroom - and wearing that coonskin cap?

I mean, if we can extrapolate catatonia and epilepsy upon Clinton, ferchrissakes, I think we should at least be allowed to lay some lupus or perchance testicular elephantiasis or something on Donny (but I’m actually leaning toward extreme amphetamine abuse). I mean, it’s obviously obvious if it’s obvious for Clinton, no?

Obviously, I say.

I’d probably call it a clear choice between adequate and evil.

One can have a good sense of humor without necessarily being funny themselves. My father for example had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh, but I never once saw him try to cut up in a silly way like Hillary attempted to do with the bug eyed, open mouth, bobbing up and down thing that’s drawn so much ridicule.

Nonsense. The meme that Trump is evil is a liberal concoction. He isn’t remotely evil. Some people in this world truly are mean and evil, yet once they find themselves deservedly confined to prison we often find the liberal contingent whinging about their rough childhood and working feverishly to get them sprung. And over and over again in many cases.

But then to many of the liberal persuasion, anyone to the right of Lenin is evil. There’s a poster on this very board who proclaims that a person must be evil to be a Republican in the first place, a sentiment that I suspect is not all that uncommon amongst my brethren on the left.

This happens to me, and I’m 44.

I’m stupid, too. But I start out with a stupid thought, which should be easy to express, and I still lose track of it.

A politician’s public persona is a dreadful indicator of how they are in private; there is rarely much of a correlation. During the 2000 election the impression of Al Gore was that he was a robot and that of George W. Bush was that he was an imbecile. But in fact - as innumerable people who actually met both men said - Gore was NOT robotic and unlikeable in person, and in person Bush did not seem at all stupid.

In any event, Clinton is running for President of the United States, not as a contestant on Last Comic Standing.
