just out of curiosity, how many hits does boards.straightdope.com receive each day? does “reload” count as a real hit?
Reload counts as a hit. I just tried it.
I don’t see any totaling of hits, but there is a total of posts on the main menu page.
You could get posts/day the hard (easy?) way. Check twice at the same time a day apart.
The last I heard from Ed Zotti and the tech staff (in October?) was about 1 million page loads/month. I can’t seem to find that e-mail at just this moment, but I believe about 80% of those page loads were from the message board.
