I think I may be dealing with burnout because I took a day off Friday to relax and I was stressed the whole day. Today was yet another up at 6:30am childcare for six hours while my husband worked day and I just imploded. He was kind enough to take the kid to an indoor play place so I had time to nap. But I wasn’t able to sleep for very long. You can’t nap very well when you’re taking stimulants. I haven’t been getting to bed at a decent hour for days upon days and I now have between 4-5 hours of childcare a day on top of my job during the week, and I’m not used to it, and I don’t know if I ever WILL get used to it, and every time I want to talk to my husband about it, I’m too stressed and angry to discuss it. I feel like I’m doing everything now. 90% of the weekday childcare, all the dishes, all the cooking, and he’s still leaving dirty dishes in the goddamn sink. (This has been going on for only two weeks and we’ve not yet discussed it, but he knows how much I hate when he doesn’t push his dishes away, so that’s the one thing he doesn’t get off the hook for.)
I had one moment of calm for my whole day, with nobody in the house, putting together a puzzle and listening to a podcast, so maybe it’s not hopeless.

After having constant basement flooding for the last 2 weeks during big rainstorms, it turns out the flooding isn’t from the rain at all. A sewer pipe broke just outside the basement wall where it exits the house, under the driveway. Any water that goes down the kitchen drain goes out that sewer pipe and comes right back in the basement via a sealed-over basement window, which was sealed at least 50+ years ago when the driveway was put in. (Not sealed anymore!) Fortunately, the kitchen is the only thing that sewer pipe is used for - the rest of the house is on a different sewer pipe. For now, I’ve disconnected the pipes under the sink and have a bucket under the sink to catch water, so we can at least use the sink. Estimate to tear up the driveway, repair the pipe, fix the driveway, and seal the window properly is a lot. Fortunately again, I have a very good plumber/contractor who is also quite inexpensive, but this is not an inexpensive job. At all.
This after finding out last week my car is on life support and needs replacing asap. Sigh.

I said goodbye to my GF , and boarded a Patco train. Then, I transferred to the Septa El. I got off at the Frankford transportation center to board the bus home. After waiting over 30 minutes, I became suspicious. I checked the map app on my phone. It suggested getting on another route. I checked Septa’s site (now updated to be even harder to use and less useful than before). It said the bus route I needed may not be running.
Fortunately, my gf was willing and able to come to Frankford and drive me home. Septa- what happens when incompetence marries corruption.

Why not carry a few bags of your favorite tea in one of those mini ziplock baggies? They’re light, easy to carry in purse or pocket. And EVERY food type place can certainly provide you with a cup of boiling water.
I believe @Mama_Zappa is talking about Flovent as in an inhaler. As far as I know there are no prescription inhalers that have been made otc. The only otc inhaler I’m aware of is Primeteme. It is not the same thing at all. Flovent is a preventative steroid and something else I don’t remember. Flonase is availabe over the counter as nasal spray. It is apparently the same chemical, but a much different delivery and application area. I’m a bit concerned as I chose my insurance because it was the only one that covered Flovent. Even the generic is 600.00 plus a month. All preventative inhalers are ridiculously expensive. They play with propellants, delivery systems, anything to change the thing just enough to not allow generics and the generics are still priced out of reach of most people.

I just took a quick look at my spam folder because occasionally something useful gets misdirected there, and there was an interesting email. Apparently someone has installed a trojan on my computer and downloaded all my dirty pictures and videos, apparently including many in which I am the star. These will shortly be released to all my contacts unless I send them $800 in Bitcoin within 48 hours.
I’m sad now that I deleted the email because forensic analysis of the source might have been interesting. I could also have sent them a response helping them out with their poor grammar. Bad grammar really bugs me. But above all, with respect to dirty movies in which I am the star, the party that would be most interested in them would be me, since I was not aware of the existence of such and must have forgotten that I made these videos. I hope I put in a good performance, but now I’ll never know.
