Holy Shit! How can they show that on TV?

The section I’m referring to was cleared of trees by the Rayonier folks many years back and they replanted in rows which really seems to boost the discomfort level. Thanks, Rayonier!

I dunno about seizures, but I’ve been told mine causes swooning and feelings of rapture.

You got three cheeks?

Don’t be so ‘cheeky’!!

None. I’m a cat.

In a hat?
In French, Le Chat chapeauté
In Spanish, El Gato in a sombrero

I’m goin’, I’m goin’. Yes, I know where the door is.

Webb did have a hand in creating Emergency! but Cinader, his partner from Adam-12, was the real driving force. They wanted the show to be a direct counterpart to Adam-12 but the city wouldn’t play ball so we got LA County instead. Which allowed for a greater variety in storylines, IMO.

Yep. They did everything required of paramedics except take the exam.

On Cheers:

WOODY: What’s shakin’, Mr Peterson?
NORM: All four cheeks and a couple of chins.

We should be able to give awards for that.
A pedant pendant?

Anyone else remember seeing Radar’s butt in an early episode of MAS*H? Yes, it’s true.

They shot the scene of Radar and Blake hiding from a sniper who was shooting at their camp and when the shot it, they had Radar’s towel(they had been in the showers) come off when he is running from one tent to another. His exposed butt was right there on camera so what did they do?

They left it in the edit and sent it to the network to see what they would do about it. They said nothing so it aired with his butt right there in the episode.

Honestly, it’s for the best. A very scary scene for them, but hilarious when Radar makes a break for it and his towel comes off.

We are clearly an ultra-puritanical country, where the notion that there would be images of female breasts (horrors) would require a warning. Sheesh.

I know that’s true for Dragnet and Adam-12, but I thought Emergency! had a standard disclaimer that said the stories were fictitious.

Oh. I may be overlapping the shows. You’re probably right.

L.A. County. If the writers could think of it, it probably happened somewhere in LA.

I don’t remember ever seeing the pilot episode/movie for Emergency. Watching it right now and man is it cheesy.

Only slightly tangentially related, but when I was a wee Sauron I had an Emergency! lunchbox. I thought I was exceptionally cool with that thing.

I have first-hand knowledge of someone who has seizure activity from the stimulus of hearing Phil Collins singing.

Only Phil Collins’ voice, no other vocalist, has this effect on them.

mmm

Me and another person have decided there’s a reason the guys on the show never combed their hair.
Just can’t figure the reason out. Maybe it was a “look” or to make them look tough or something? Hmmm?

Yeah, but what about Phil’s butt?

The fire department guys didn’t bother because they kept getting helmet hair.
