The VunderCar ails once again, this time with the every-six-month tire problems. So I got to drive the rental we have while the van gets the impression of Bambi pulled out. A warm car, what will I do?
Someone has to say it: Noone is always out to lunch.
[QUOTE=Taters] Labelless, two suggestions for your daughter. Try either Bag Balm or Corn Husker’s lotion for her face. Or, if you can manage to find them, a pair of white dress gloves. When I was very little and had the chicken pox, my mother put those gloves on me so I wouldn’t scratch myself and cause scarring. Of course, this was back in 1967. I would think little girl dress gloves were still being made for little girls due to First Communion and such, but I could be wrong.

:smack: Bag Balm! You would think I’d have been able to figure that one out! And I still have my first communion gloves here somewhere, thanks for the suggestions!
Happy Birthday FCM!!!
First - the other person is -not- me. Tarragon 9/18<— September 18.
Anyways … I hoped that someone else would remember; I probably should have just posted my greetings last night:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FAIRY CHAT MOM & KAIWIK!!!
Woo hoo, congratulations to both! Not much else to offer this early in the morning; I’m caffeinating and getting ready to leave for work (LATE - I overslept! :(). Happy hump day to everyone else.
It’s been a busy morning, and no signs of things getting any quieter this afternoon. I’m contemplating booking a holiday to Uzbekistan…no, seriously, I am!
rigs - the wedding at Gretna took place over an anvil because the original Gretna weddings were performed at the blacksmith’s forge in the town. The anvil is used by the blacksmith to join two metals into one, just as marriage joins two people as one. So it became part of the tradition. These days, the minister ends the ceremony by banging the anvil with a hammer.

How splendid! And so British to add the pagan elements and have no one get into a bother about it. <jealous>
Now all I need is my own Mr Darcy.
Off to shop for window treatments soon.
We finished painting the master bath in the new place last night. So now our bedroom and bathroom are done. The big living room wall’s coming along well. We’ll have quite a bit done before we move on Saturday. Yay!
I’m sad about Heath Ledger too. I really liked him. It was his smile. I’m a HUGE sucker for dimples.
Almost lunch time. Should I have leftovers at home or should I pick something up? Hmmm…
