Homer Simpson or Peter Griffin?

Which of these two dads is the stupidest?

Oh, and Happy Father’s Day! It’s still June 15th out here in California.

Peter Griffin, hands down. At least Homer sometimes TRYS to be a good father. Peter just has NO redeming qualities at all. The only good thing in that show is the baby (I want to say stewie?) and the dog. And the plots, I love the show. I just don’t like any of the characters. Funny how that works, eh?

Spot on, RahRahMah – the baby is Stewie, and the dog’s name is Brian.

I’m so glad they put that show back on (even if only in ReRuns, I was getting tired of downloading it.) I just get annoyed when they have the older ones without Mila Kunis, and whoever did the mom. They voices are much better.

I bought the Family Guy DVD Volume 1. I’m halfway through viewing this boxed set.

Norm Macdonald did a great job doing the voice of Death in the episode titled “Death is a Bitch”.

RahRahMah. I must respectfully disagree. As Brian (the dog on FG) himself noted, Peter’s not stupid, it’s just that he has really bad judgement.

Lacy Chabert did Meg’s voice in the early shows, while Alex Borstein has always done Lois’ voice.

I didn’t even notice they had a different voice for Meg in the earlier shows. Which season did they switch?

Lacey Chabert did the voice of Megan Griffin during the 1999-2000 season.

Mila Kunis did the voice of Megan Griffin during 2000-2002.

Wow, was it the whole season? I didn’t realize. I saw several of the first season eps., but years later I assumed it was always Mila.

Peter is far far stupider and considerably meaner. Which makes him more hilarious.

Don’t forget that Peter is actually an evil robot.

Peter is stupider; Homer actually operates nuclear power equipment, while Peter just messes around in a toy factory.

Father’s Day is in June in California?

I always hated the first Meg voice and thought Mila Kunis did a far better job, but I never realized it was the contempible Lacey Chabert who did the first season. I guess Mila Kunis and Drew Carey are now answers to the trivia question, “Name some people who’ve been on two prime time shows at the same time.”

However, I believe Lois Griffin was always played by the same person.

As to the OP, Peter is far, far stupider than Homer. Homer is easily distracted by food and such and he forgets himself sometimes, but he’s more clever than he lets on, and he’s a good person at heart. Peter Griffin is a hopeless idiot and he’s mean, and he’s a shallow character to boot. Without Marge, Homer would be lonely and sad. Without Lois, Peter would be dead.

Wasn’t the first "season"only a handful of episodes?
And though Lois may have been the same actor, in later episodes, the voice is much more polished. Of course, this is true of Homer Simpson as well and that is the cartoon voice gold standard!

Speaking of Adult Swim, did you know that the guy who does the voice for Frye on Futurama is also the voice of the Honeynut Cheerio Bee?[/hijack…not that this thread is still on topic]

Billy West was Stimpy also. Like many cartoon voices, he’s established and VERY busy. Check this out: http://us.imdb.com/Name?West,+Billy+(II)

Yeah. He’s a legend in the Animation community.

He is to animation what David Ogden Stiers is to the audio book community!

Come again? Heh, heh,heh,heh. Come.

Hey Lois - “diarrhea”
