Hometown Teacher Arrested for Prostitution

Full story here.

Bellefontaine isn’t really my hometown, but it is within only a few miles of it, and I had several friends growing up from the school district.

Apparently, this woman, a fourth grade teacher with a thirteen year history with the district, was arrested after she skipped half a day of work to go to a local motel to turn tricks. Pretty much speaks for itself doesn’t it?

I’m going to argue that she was doing research for a history lesson about the world’s oldest profession. The woman deserves a friggin’ OEA award. :wink:

The article also says, “She’s been a popular teacher.” I really hope they don’t mean among the students.

This is why I support raising teacher’s salaries.

<obligatory “Hot For Teacher” joke>

In the email she sent me about the story, my mother passed on that at least one outlet made the “Teacher playing hooky? Hooker? No, both!” joke. It’s all a huge mess.

And, Beadalin, I’m sure there is somebody out there who thinks this teacher is hot. And apparently some willing to pay for an afternoon with her. But I certainly don’t see it.

I thought teachers only moonlighted.

You know, this might help put an end to the burnout problem.

Wow, crazy. And I read somewhere that she’s worked for the district for 13 years!

Yipe. She couldn’t have been supplementing her income by all that much.
