Hot or cold

You have a choice: either you can live on the equator, where its nice and hot,
or at the North Pole, where its dark and cold.
All your food is provided.
So where would You choose?
Me: warmth over coldness anyday.

I’d have to go with the Equator, preferably someplace where you can walk around naked and have a large body of water nearby for swimming. Yeah, that’d rock.

Um, I’d still have my net connection, right?

I’d definitely go with the North Pole. I can’t stand too much heat and would go absolutely crazy and sweat to death at the equator. Plus, Santa’s at the NP, beat that!

Hm… Nice mountain on the equator. nice breezes, no neighbors… That’d work.

North Pole. Blankets are less expensive than air conditioners.

With a heat index today of 105 degrees and only
one good lung, definitely North Pole. You can
always put on more clothes, but there is a
limit to what you can take off.

Yes, definitely the North Pole. Heat sucks. It’s, like, all hot and stuff.

I lived in Minnesota for a few years. Never again.
Hawaii seemed nice. After the first day, you don’t notice the humidity.

It’s not necessarily all that hot on the equator. I was born in Quito, Ecuador, and it is so high in the Andes that the wind and the rain more than make up for it being slightly closer to the sun. This is true for about half of the year.

Still, definitely better than freezing my ass off.

Yep, mountain on the equator. (Doncha love people who wriggle out on technicalities?)

I infinitely prefer cold to heat, but constant, bitter cold and dark is too much. And it saps your strength in odd ways; just the hassle of keeping vehicles going, needing 15 minutes to put on coats, etc.

Actually, I love where I live now. The seasons can be extreme, but it’s a little taste of everything. And Fall is perfect.

Well, my air conditioning is kaput at home (since Friday) so that may have affected my decision but I definitely have to say North Pole. I echo the sentiment that I can always add clothes but there are only so many to take off!

I dunno if it’s a fair question, given the lack of civilization at the north pole. I’d half to say the equator.

However, if you asked me to choose between Needles, California and Juno, Alaska I’d go with the Great White North.

I’d choose the equator over the north pole, but if you gave me the choice of SoCal or SoOntario, I’d have to choose Ontario, and not just because I was born there. I can’t take the relentless heat, lack of seasonal changes, and lack of snow here in LA. It’s boring, and I love snow.

Between the equator and SoCal? That’s a toss-up, but I’d have to choose the more humid area. I hate dry heat (and yes I know that’s odd).

I’m all for the mountain on the Equator. Technicalities aside, North Pole (with internet). Heat sucks, Dry heat sucks worse (my poor system has a tough time getting enough fluid as is.) And so much cold gives one a chance to create extra body heat through fun activities.

(Hot sweaty sex is just gross after a while.)

The North Pole is the place to be. As we speak, I’m making my own gravy. If I were to go to the equator, I’d melt.

If you were to touch me, you’d leave a finger print.

I burn calories at an incredible rate…ergo…I create much heat. I should be around 900 lbs, I’m a svelt 250lbs.
If you live in the North of Canada, our wonderful federal government pays us around 15 bux aday.

PS Toilet paper costs 6 dollars a sheet.

I would much rather be on the Equator. I need my sunlight. And I don’t mind the heat. When I went on vacation to Florida, everyone complained about the humidity but me. It doesn’t bother me at all.

Being too cold hurts. Being too warm, it’s just uncomfortable. I can cope with being too warm.

If I was allowed to take other things into consideration, the lack of culture and nightlife on the North Pole would also have influence on my decision, but even without that, I’d still choose warm.

Gimme a still, a net connection, satellite television, and a couple of women who think that the sun rises and sets in my pants. I’ll be happy to do my part to melt the ice caps! Yow!

Since I’m not gonna violate the spirit of the OP with techinicalities: I’d rather be cold than hot. Being hot just saps my energy, but frigid cold is quite envigorating.

Dammit! I just got here. I am not moving again, I don’t care what you say.

To all those people who like humid heat, you are a bunch of freaks.

I would choose the great desert of the north too. It is perfect for cuddling and as Snark said, “Santa is there.” I could point out something else, but I am sure many people already saw that.

HUGS!
