Eddie the drug dealer was played by Nick Chinlund, who has been in a bunch of movies and TV shows. He was Toombs in Chronicles of Riddick, and he was the very creepy corpse-fetishist Donnie Pfaster in a couple of X-Files episodes.
I missed last night’s episode. Can someone give a (spoilered) recap?
Nick Papageorgio from Yuma!
Has anyone considered the possibility of a story arc where Eddie thinks he was ratted out by 13? That would be cool.
I mourn his hair too . . . but I mourn his eyebrows even more.
And my biggest LOL moment was the woman in the restaurant yelling “Say YES!”
Awesome episode. Three separate plots, all great:
- the PotW, excellent story (Nick Chinlund is always excellent)
- the House/Wilson/Gay/NCIS Chick thing
- the Taub/Chase/13 vs. Foreman salary mind-fuck thing
any one of which would have made the episode great all on it’s own!
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: we are in a new “golden age” of television. Enjoy it while it lasts!..TRM
I love the way that the stories roll on propelled by arbitrary things like the House/Wilson nonsense and the Foreman vs the rest. It reminds me of how the second series of The Wire is all driven by Sobotka buying a better gift for the church than Valchek, and McNulty happily getting even with Rawls for sending him to the harbor.
I loved when House told the team that the patient needed some womanly persuasion. Thirteen prepares to go into the room, and House stops her and says “No, I said womanly.” Chase sighs and opens the door. He knows his role.
I’m wondering why House and Wilson don’t have any furniture - they both had furnished apartments and House even had a piano.
I wondered if Jesse Spencer had signed on to some period project and needed to get his hair cut, but there’s nothing on his IMDb page. Maybe Cameron did get it in the divorce?
Actually, I think he looks fine with shorter hair.
Enjoyed that ep more than any in a long while. Really loved the 3 dicking with Foreman.
Did anyone else think that Eddie was gay and had a crush on POTW? I swear I thought that was coming when he was in the hospitel room and said “You’re my friend” - I think he wanted to tell him but chickened out. This would also go well with the gay plotline with House and Wilson.
I didn’t think so, but there was quite a bit of speculation about that at Television without Pity. Also about the furniture. Wilson’s furniture might have belonged to Amber and her parents/siblings inherited it, so he had nothing, but if he and House are going to move in together, shouldn’t House contribute some furniture? He certainly has some, and it’s good stuff, too.
Yeah, we didn’t pick up on that either. Anyone?
Watching it again, yeah, it doesn’t make much sense. Maybe he twigged on the fact that the conversation had run hot’n cold ? “Wilson’s a real nice guy. [10 seconds] Wilson’s a jerk too ! He did this and that and that and… Oh.”
I think it’s really contrived that two grown straight men with good paying jobs would move in together.
Loved Chase’s haircut. Last season, I always thought he looked like he needed a haircut. And his personality was too vanilla to suit long hair.
Wilson’s “I love this man!” was straight out of those horrible jewelry commercial ads. I loved it!
I’m glad the agent didn’t change his mind at the end and warn the Mafia dude about the drug bust. I was thinking he might.

IIRC, House’s last line in the conversation was, “Wilson *may look *like a boy scout…” before trailing off.
In the very next scene in the POTW’s room, he says something like, “The aneurysms *make look *micotal (?) but they’re not. They’re inflammatory.”
Both times it’s a case of “A may look like B, but it’s actually C.” The remark about Wilson triggered the realization about the POTW.
Re: the furniture issue, I think that House is only moving in with Wilson on a temporary basis as a condition of his release from the Cuckoo’s Nest. So his place and his furniture are probably still where they’ve always been. Wilson’s furniture, I assume, just hasn’t been moved yet.
But these are all guesses!..TRM
