I actually kind of liked it. Thought it was interesting the effect the news had on Cameron. Though as Chase says, he always uses protection, so it’s not like as if they were just playing HIV roulette.
The House storyline was better though. Especially how he got all puzzled when the mouse tiltled his head and wanted to catch him rather than kill him :D.
But… after the last two or three episodes, they have continually had her “re-analyzing” her consistent denial of self ‘fun’… she didn’t cheat on her dying husband (she wanted to) … is just one example… this time she went thru with it.
Of course, I looked at the spouse and said “dream sequence”… just wasn’t sure who’s… then damn with that overhung look she had the next morning!
I like how House ‘almost’ got what he wanted…
And that is a cool rat…
My favorite part was the look on Foreman’s face when House called the Cameron/Chase hook up. Classic. I half expected him to call bullshit, and half expected him to high five Chase. Heh, great moment.
Oh, and Cameron did look pretty damn good with her hair all cracked out. They weren’t that clear on what she too, but it had to be X with the results. Meth’s not about casual use.
Let’s keep in mind that she’d just had a phenominal scare with HIV-infected blood (something that’s happened to me at one point, though I’m thankfully negative). When something like that happens, it can really throw your “essence” (I tried to avoid that word, but couldn’t think of a better one) off-kilter.
I consider it a mix of all the development that the character of Cameron’s been through, along with the shock of potentially having your life change in the blink of an eye.
I was amused by the fact that House lives at #221b.
I’m glad House was shot down by Stacy. Not just because I loathe Stacy and the way she’s being portrayed by the Selma Ward, but also because House went WAAAY beyond the bounds of even his ethics by reading her therapy notes. And he still didn’t understand it at the end.
But perhaps they were- at the end, as Chase was washing his face he pulled out his lip to reveal an open sore in his mouth (looks like one of those things you get when you bite your lip). I highly, highly, highly doubt they’re going to go anywhere with this story line, but TPTB obviously want you to worry.
Well considering she has a month or two before she can take the test I suspect they’ll be keeping this one going a while.
This is the first episode where I found House to be truly repulsive. His attampt to manipulate her just so he could prove himself right seemed to actually give him pleasure. He seemed less edgy and because of that it bothered me.
The only way he can be happy is to fuck up others lives.
The fact he didn’t get what he did was beyond the pale didn’t make him any better.
Great series… no pandering to make us like teh main character… though I’m getting sick of the sad musical montages. I started humming the South Park/Team America Montage song.
Gonna need a montage (Montage)
To show how sad every one is
Montage (Montage)
Look what a Jerk this Doc is
She’s so sad and so is he
oh how sad can these folks be.
Montage!!
If the Harry Potter series ever decides to introduce some of Snape’s family, Selma Ward should play his sister. It’s eerie how much she looks like Alan Rickman in drag.
House has real feelings for Stacy, and wanted to win her back… he needed what was in the files to have the confidence to do so… After he started playing the initial game, he realized this… and when Stacy got him to “confess” to reading the files, Stacy hit him hard… “I did, but no longer”… he (house) is starting to realize his actions do have consequences that he doesnt want.
The whole show is about people coming to terms with their lives and decisions/lies… it isn’t about the medicine or the jackass doctor… the sad music at the end is the ‘reflection’ time that the charectors need to realize and grow.
Their hasn’t been a case yet where the patients ‘lies’ hasn’t been the overall source of the problem (or difficulty in finding a cure)
He did not push the initial patient into the car… he had grabbed House’s cane when House attempted to move him out of the wayl… after several minutes, House put some pressure on the cane to move the patient, who then tripped on the curb and fell back into the car.
Now, the father of the patient, House hit… but that was for purely diagnostic pourposes.
Indeed. I was frightened that House was going to turn into the lovable curmudgeon, but the writers don’t want to go that route… well at least not too much. I’d like to see a some absolutely horrible actions by Dr. House once or twice a season. The guy is supposed to be an ass, let him act like one more than just in his words.
I thought (please correct me if I’m wrong) that after a minute of tug-of-war, House simply let the cane go, which caused the patient to stumble backward into Wilson’s car, which explains how the patient wound up with House’s cane in his hands.
And I have to disagree… he needed the information in the files to successfully manipulate Stacy. She already told him he was “the One,” and he’s demonstrated pretty adeptly that he could read her very well; he didn’t need confidence. I just don’t know how he could have been so surprised by her reaction at the end- did he really think she’d forgive him?
That makes more sense…in any event, House didn’t ‘hit’ him with the cane… and the patients own actions caused the problem… of course, it still looks bad on House.
