Before I comment on the show, some help please: my local F-in station cut off the whole end of the show (after the point where House tells Cuddy about his parthenogenesis “joke”)! So can someone summarize the rest for me? Please?
Um, where did you leave off on the rest of the storylines?
Cuddy realizes the sick girl has eclampsia (sp?)and had given birth to a girl three weeks before…baby was thought to be dead and abandoned…Cuddy finds baby alive…Sick Eclampsia girl was refused transplant and will die…grandparents want to put baby up for adoption…Merry Christmas Cuddy!
13 and Foreman get their smoochy groove on!
Bad summary, but I’m still sniffly over the ending!
Yeah, House’s look at the end there is priceless when he realizes that the door has closed on Huddy. The way that she looks at that baby… She barely notices that he leaves.
Also,
that kiss between Foreman and 13 was disgusting and wrong.
Aw! Why do you think that?
Thanks so much everybody. All the storylines were up the air when my station lost its rocker, so is much appreciated. (BTW: Did the couple realize House was joking?)
It felt forced, looked terrible and made me gag?
Did anyone catch the reference to Irene Adler, the woman Wilson said gave House the book? In A Scandal in Bohemia, one of the early Sherlock Holmes stories, Watson says:
You gotta love it!
And the book Wilson gave House was by Joseph Bell who was a major inspiration for Sherlock Holmes.
I have to wait another hour.
Glad someone started the thread, though.
Yeah, I caught that. As Wilson is going through the whole story, my wife is giving me the “I don’t remember that” look, and I’m giggling like a madman.
The woman using the inhaler was good, too. Especially since they cut away and you saw her walking out mumbling “What an asshole.” You can just imagine what House ended up saying.
I knew I recognized the name Irene Adler, but thought it didn’t sound like House at all. Hee hee. Cute!
More problematic is it’s probably going to get her kicked out of the Clinical Trial program. So that was the Kiss that Killed #13.
-Roosh Calls it on Dec. 9th, 2008
She walked out and said, “Jerk.” Cuddy said, “What was that about?” and House said, “Jamaican barbecued chicken.” Good one.
I agree that the kiss between 13 and Foreman was telegraphed as hell and rather nauseating. Why does everyone on these hospital shows only date each other? cf. Grey’s Anatomy, ER, etc.
Yeah, certainly wrong as in unethical, but then, so is discussing one clinical trial patient’s history with another clinical trial patient.
I also thought it looked forced. And why on earth would you start a relationship with someone who is (a) a colleague, (b) a patient, and © has a disabling terminal disease? Any one of these might be understandable, but the combination is just too much.
I didn’t b/c I was tree decorating and half listening. But I kept half hearing a name I should know–I thought it was an author.
And I’ve used Smitty as a nick also <not here>, but it’s a fun one.
I nominate the look on House’s face after the woman demonstrates how she uses her inhaler as The Best Moment In Television EVER!
What was so awful about Foreman and 13 kissing? I think they’ve been pretty cute together.
House almost had me believing the whole parthenogenesis thing and the story about the Civil War soldier. Dang him!
I’m gonna go with “because she’s smoking hot”. Yah.
That Civil War soldier legend was also the basis for an episode of MythBusters. You’ll be happy to know they did not test it on a real human testicle.
