House 3/21: Fall from Grace

Hell yes! Best episode ending ever! I had to rewind and watch it a couple extra times.
I just got around to watching the episode tonight. I’m glad 13 is finally coming back, even if it is three weeks away. Well, two weeks now I guess.

I feel so bad for Masters. The past few episodes have shown how hard it is for her to connect with anyone, and now she seems to make a connection and the guy turns out to be a Gormogon.

Yes. There was a post-wedding scene showing the two of them together at his apartment. She said something like “Even though this is just a green card wedding, I actually do like you.” and then she kissed him. House looked uncomfortable and told her he didn’t sleep with married women and they’d be sleeping separately. He gave the impression of somebody who’s realizing he took a joke too far.

Err, *can *you tell the difference between human & animal bones just by looking at them, if you just have tiny fragments? They looked no bigger than a grain of rice.

I don’t know if I missed something this episode but I don’t remember hearing anyone called Martha. Was that Danny’s girlfriend? He just told the story of attacking her, we never saw her.
Could they possibly have had a more fake looking beard on the patient? You could see where the tufts of hair were glued onto his face, it was like bad hair implants.

Martha is Masters’s first name.

:smack: Wow, I completely missed that.

I actually like House’s bride and wish he didn’t make her sleep on the couch.

Did anyone else think Cuddy and Wilson were going to kiss?

I fully expect that when we come back to new House eps in three weeks, in the first five minutes somebody (probably House) will make a comment about how his marriage was annulled (I suspect that’s part of the reason why he didn’t choose to consummate it.)

Another point - Taub was right all along. One of the symptoms of a psychopath is that they tell you what they think you want to hear and they become very skilled in this. So much so that you may feel flattered.

They gave up on the idea when the guy said he hates hockey seemingly proving Taub wrong but they shoulda stuck with it. The guy only gave that unexpected answer because he sensed that they were on to him. It was a learned behaviour. The guy was a psychopath.

Yes, I was talking about the scene where he was telling Martha Masters about all the bad things that he’d done. My creepometer was dinging, and I thought for sure they were going to recreate the famous “ER” scene, where out-of-the-blue, a psycho patient unexpectedly stabs Lucy (portrayed by Kellie Martin – another former child actress).

No, but I didn’t go to med school, I don’t have access to all sorts of highfalootin’ tests that could tell the difference, and I don’t live in a TV universe where someone could say “Oh, my God. That’s a human bone. Fromt he looks of it, I’d guess it belongs to a women in her 20’s 5’9” tall, recently reduced from 197 to 128 pounds on the Atkins diet, brown hair, green eyes who sometimes worn brown contacts, has an Irish mothr and a Cuban father, and is dating a Scottish/Mexican man," and nobody questions the findings.

You know the saying that if you see hoof prints, think horses not zebras?

What doctor in his right mind would run a test to see if the bones were from humans? That’s too far fetched even for a TV doctor.

Except, it was established early on as part of the show’s premise, using that very saying, that by the time cases get to House’s team, they are already the zebras. Based on previous episodes, it would not have been out of the ordinary for House and his team to suspect some kind of animal-borne infection such that they would need to know what kind of animal bones he had eaten. Rats, rabbits (I think), chickens, pigeons, snakes, and dogs have all been culprits in prior seasons, directly or indirectly.

I was thinking internet ordainment, and him saying “one time only” as basically saying he didn’t want to do it as a regular gig.

Did they actually say he eats his victims? I don’t recall that.

Oh gee, thanks for reminding me of that.

That is correct. You can get ordained for just one day. I wonder how much you would get paid for that day, or if people just do it as a favor to a couple.
