House 4/24: Cuddy n' Wilson sittin' in a tree...

…F-R-A-T-E-R-N-I-Z-I-N-G.
Along comes House and whacks 'em in the knee!

(Yes, that was terrible.) But you know he’s gonna be fuming even if he never admits it.

Heh. I wonder if Wilson was just yanking House’s chain when he said he was interested in seeing Cuddy again. I’ve tried to avoid the previews for this week!

Heh, it is funny to see the parallel dialogues of House and Wilson’s ex-wife and Cuddy and Wilson’s “non-date”. HEH!

I turned my head for a minute and I’m afraid I missed something… House did NOT sleep with Wilson’s ex-wife, right?

You’re right, he didn’t.

But he did take the dog…

Great to see adorably bedraggled little Jane Adams again, as the former Mrs. Wilson.

Did anybody wonder why the patient dying of a raging infection was still conscious and articulate, rather than a sweaty, writhing, delirious human wreck?

'Cause it’s TV, and people die pretty on TV.

When WilsonWife talked to House in his office, I got the impression that House wasn’t jealous of Wilson, he was jealous of Cuddy. WW said that House broke up her marriage 'cause House needed Wilson by his side all the time. Hmmmm.

I love you, homoerotic subtext!

WAG:

If they destroyed the immune system, the body wouldn’t have most of the cells, chemokines, cytokines, interleukins, interferons, etc. to mount an immune response (fever, sweat, chills- the major interleukin is IL-1, and that is produced mostly in macrophages).

Also, she was probably on pain meds and other stuff… which leads me to think:

Why the hell didn’t they try giving her a whooping dose of antibiotics??? IV!!! And some freaking fresh frozen plasma!!!

She seemed like a good candidate for a few of the “last resort” drugs that are used when everything else fails. Even if she would have died at the end anyways, a mention of that treatment would be nice. It is not as if someone gets septic and has no chance of surviving.

I thought they specifically said that giving her antibiotics would do no good, cause they “work with” the immune system they destroyed.

…and they let her keep the same bra on for days? Yikes.

Good stuff with the ex-Mrs. Wilson and House, though, and H.E.C.T.O.R seems to be a good match for a man who kept a rat as a pet.

Poor Foreman. A dead patient and a mom with ALZ, if I heard right.

I love the House/Cuddy/Wilson exchanges.

This was a strange episode. Felt bad for Foreman :frowning:

They were planning on selling it on eBay! :dubious:

I think it was just that the wound on her back was right under where the bra clasp was, so House put two and two together, not that it was the exact same bra that caused the wound in the first place.

Although her lifestyle seemed so marginal that I wouldn’t be surprised if she only owned one bra.

How many women have cut themselves on a bra hook? I can’t even imagine how it could be done.

IIRC, she said she didn’t blame it on him, but he “didn’t do anything to help”. Could it have been during the post-Stacy trauma, I wonder, when House would have needed Wilson around a lot?

I don’t think House is jealous of Cuddy, because he made a huge deal of her refusing him to go out with Wilson, was impressed by her considering him “not safe”, has been obsessing about who she dates and their flaws (even before this Wilson thing), etc., lately.

Either way… it seems to me that House resents when the few people he cares about prioritize something over him, and he fights back by demanding more and more. I think this applies to both Cuddy and Wilson, but for very different reasons.

I think you’ve called it, here.

TMI - I’ve scraped myself pretty badly with one when trying to fasten it one day. It’s possible - very possible.
