House MD 4/18 - SPOILERS!

I didn’t even check to see what the storyline for tonight is. It hardly matters, since I’ll watch every ep. anyway.
I’m enjoying the further developments in the relationship between House and Wilson. The latter is pretty much his one and only friend, isn’t he?

Indeed. I mean, his three proteges might be if he let them but he keeps them well alienated and only Cameron has really taken steps to get past it. Though House has kept her at bay.

I too don’t know the episode hints for tonight, but I plan to watch!

Just bumping. Several hours to go…

I liked the twist ending; the patient’s partner turned out to be something other than a clueless victim.

I was hoping that Max (wasn’t she the not-sick one?) would reveal at the end that she wanted to donate the liver because she planned to dump Hannah – but that she’d feel guilty leaving her while she was sick.

But having her turn out to be a stalker-in-waiting is even better.

And I hope Cameron does get a chance to give a reference on Foreman. What a putz.

I kind of saw that coming - not the bubonic plague that was different - I thought that Cameron was feeling too sorry for the Potential Dumpee and it had to turn out that she knew.

A good episode, although Cameron actively annoyed me even more than Cameron usually actively annoys me.

Foreman is going to be House in twenty years. It took me a while to understand the C/F conflict but I’m still working on giving a damn.

Was Chase even in this one?

I also thought Max was going to say she was dumping Hannah and liked the stalker angle twist.

But–THIS is the big ethical dilemma of the season? Bleah.

But weren’t you entertained by the way that Cameron bitched about Foreman’s article to everyone within earshot and got zero sympathy from anyone?

The cherry on top would have been if she complained to nice, sweet, vanilla Wilson and HE told her to get a life.

Well, yeah, that was sweet.

How can you have the plague and not be running a fever and not have an elevated white blood count?

Yeah, and I thought the pustules under the arms were one of the FIRST symptoms, and never heard of the sleeplessness either. Hmmph.

Most jaw-dropping line of the night: When House suggested Cameron must have had some huge cock up her ass in order to empathize so well with someone going through a colonoscopy without pain meds or sedation.

I know it’s a bit gauche to comment on the Google ads, but I am curious about which keywords triggered the following ads:

“Dumped” or “stalker?”

She was on corticosteroids to treat her poison ivy and they acted as an immunosuppressant. At least, that’s the show’s explanation. I’m a bit skeptical as to whether (I’m assuming) a topical cortisone ointment to treat a rash would be sufficient to overcome the whopping immune response you’d get in that situation, but I don’t watch the show for the gritty realism, I watch it to see Hugh Laurie being snarky.

Speaking of which, by far my favourite moment of the episode was House revealing he speaks Mandarin. I hope we’ll return to a bit more clinic duty stuff in the future - it’s always amusing, and I’ve missed it the last few episodes.

Chase was there for a bit, but Wilson is the one who got the least amount of screen time tonight.

Good House line: “Not the sharpest chopstick in the drawer.” And “Super!”

“Clueless victim” ?

Sorry. I should get away from the keyboard and hit the sack instead.

I thought that was priceless, though I’m shocked that House never dropped any inappropriate hot, lesbian sex innuendos. It’s like I don’t even know him any more…

I liked this exchange:

Cameron (with the other doctors in tow): We’ve got rectal bleeding.
House: What, ALL of you?

Cameron sure as hell got dumped on this episode. Playing Miss NiceyNice all day. She got her article trumped. The poor put-upon partner she was worried about turns out to be even more manipulative than the patient. Then, to top it all off, when she goes to make up with Foreman, he brutally slaps her ass down. Maybe this makes her grow up a bit, though I’m sure she’ll screw that up somehow.

I didn’t see the partner stalker angle coming, I was thinking she would be OK with the transplant because “I love her and want her to live, even if it isn’t to live with me.” rather than “I love her and this sacrifice will make her live with me forever” Creepy.

Foreman was absolutely correct.

As brutal and nasty as it sounded he is right. He isn’t at work to become buddies with his colleagues. That is his job, and those are the people he works with. If he can make friends once and a while fine, but in the end your co workers will not put food on your table and if you get turfed they are likely going to go on working as usual rather than come to your rescue.

He had nothing to apologize for and Cameron has been so much of a pollyana
despite the several occasions she has been shown how full of crap she is.
