An incredible accumulation of pens. The BF brings them home from work stuck inside the neck of his shirt. Either he leaves them someplace and I pick them up, or he leaves them in the shirt, and I fish it out of the half filled washing machine. Then it goes to live in a coffee mug with its brethren. We are currently at two coffee mugs, but we’ve only been going out for one year. After the apocalypse, I will have a corner on the world pen supply.
Check in the bottom of your dishwasher. Under the big round thing at the bottom. Just like trying to get under the washing machine auger.
It’s running right now, but :eek: that is a great idea! Thanks.
I’ve never lost any socks. Whenever one goes missing I always find it, because I know that it has to be somewhere. I just hunt through all of the likely places in turn:
- dropped somewhere between the bedroom and the laundry;
- behind the washing machine - a result of my poor aim when I tossed the clothes in;
- caught up inside another article of clothing - inside shirt sleeves is a good one;
- if I’ve put the clothes on the washing line, the sock has blown off into the garden somewhere;
- if I’ve used the dryer, it’s still in there, stuck to the drum.
The time before last when I did laundry I ended up with two mismatched socks. The last time I did laundry the mates to both of those mismatched socks turned up. I have no explanation for this, particularly since the two mismatched sock were nothing alike.
