Finally. Phew. That was without a doubt the longest damn drive I’ve ever taken. Next time I’ll take a plane or something.
So, where are we…ah yes, Texas. 1,500 miles and one time zone later. No wonder I’m so tired. But I guess I’d better get used to it, eh?
Looking at this thread I see we’re gonna have ourselves quite a little party tomorrow. God knows I need to relax right now. I’m looking forward to it.

Nocturne, after driving 1,500 miles, I can honestly say that the closest call I had during the whole trip was when you nearly got me killed. But that’s OK. You’re forgiven. And dinner was a hoot. It was a pleasure finally meeting you.

aramis, the derivation of my name should be quite clear. I was supposed to go a long time ago, but with one snafu after another, I haven’t been able to go until now. You don’t like my name? Sorry about your luck, because I don’t care what you think. I admit it was somewhat pretentious of me to take that name, but it was more or less a personal challenge for me, that having assumed a name like that I would have to live up to it. Anything else you want to know?
I think that’s everything. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone tomorrow, but in the meantime, I’m gonna spend some quality time with MsRobyn, if ya know what I mean…

Hey, AD, glad you made it safely. The Houston group is great. If you hang around Texas for long, I’m sure we’ll have a chance to get together. But, sorry I can’t make the trip this time.

I’m sitting at my desk with a HUGE grin on my face, having just seen him at lunchtime. 
I can’t wait for 4:30 to roll around so I can go home to him.

Though I admit it did freak me out a little to look up during the dividing of the check ritual at the end of the night to see that a blonde who hadn’t been there 5 minutes before had joined our table. I thought she was after the ** b ** man but it turned out she only wanted his seat.
Polly Ester smoked, drank (tea this time) was passed around and had herself a good time.
We talked about many people, places and things.

Airman is back on the road towards home. Unfortunately, he has to leave from Pennsylvania and has family and work commitments to keep before he leaves.
