I will attempt to attend both. That’s the weekend right after finals are over, and right before graduation.
Grace - the problem is spending three and a 1/2 hours on the road & then performing. I’m still gonna fly, but I highly recommend hanging out with this group.

Aye, I am graduating. I’ve got no real responsibilities just after, so celebration sounds pretty good to me.
But if any of you embarass me, I’ll kick your ass. 
Nerd, you’ve got two birthdays (mine, May 6th, and beatle’s, May 7th) and an anniversary (TheLion and Ayesha, May 5th) going on as well. Trying to embarass someone can rebound too easily!

Well, I’ve been posting here since June, but given that my total number of posts is about 1/6 of Beatle’s and given that I have never been to one of these things before, I guess I’ll let it slide this time.
How in the hell did Irishman get twice as many posts as me in about 1/3 as much time as a member? Damn, I thought I spent a lot of time in here.
And being a witty charming guy I have lots of witty and charming friends, so I might try and drag a few of them to this thing. A few of them, in fact, at least know about SDMB, even if they aren’t real members…

Sorry Irishman and everyone else. I was really looking forward to meeting y’all. Please sniff erase my name from your list. I have a schedule conflict. sniff I will be on a plane to Detroit that Sunday afternoon.
Work is evil. I live in a rural area. I just started working again three months ago. I really like my job, but I have limited opportunities to meet other people, especially now that half of the division has received RIF letters. I (for the moment) have been spared, which irks the people who have been here for years and are suddenly jobless. I commute 102 miles a day. I am a single mother. I don’t have time to socialize during the week. 
Needless to say, I am heartbroken.
Please tell me this isn’t a once a year thing. Please tell me that the Houston Dopers will meet again soon. A 70 mile drive is nothing for me to have the opportunity to talk to adults!
