Weirdly, after an increase most Canadian provinces don’t see ANY price declines until sudden drops a week or two later.

My dad is traveling in his RV so he is using lots of gas. He said today he paid $2.88 at the Bucees in Colorado North of Denver.

Still $3.699 at the Lummi station.

That’s where we normally fill up (well, there are at least three Lummi stations now) but on our trip over next week, I’ll be filling up with an extension cord.

Glad to hear it, esp. since Colorado price-cycled up 15 cents this week, as did pretty much all Great Lakes states; Buc’cees I’ve noticed tends to somewhat immune to such things tho. National is up 8 cents for the week; if you live in a state which runs cheap and doesn’t do that kind of crap (Louisiana is one of the cheapest in the nation because Nawlins is a major supertanker port), then more power to you. Just do your research is all I am saying.

Time for an update, I think.

Earlier in the week, I got gas for $2.39 at Costco. Today it’s $2.44. Middle TN

The lower priced stations around St. Louis are at about $2.89. I went to Costco to top off my tank and the lines were backed up so long I gave up. Didn’t see what the price was but Costco here normally runs 10-15 cents lower than nearby gas stations.

Oil went up last week, and wholesale with it, to the tune of about 10 cents. Allegedly winter gas, which is cheaper, is or will very soon get distributed, at least to the colder states, but several of the Great Lakes states saw increases this past week, incl. my Ohio.

Very SE Georgia: $2.82/gal, but that was credit card price. Cash is usually a dime cheaper. Check back in 20 minutes for an update; it’ll be something else.

Prices in the Galveston/Houston area are $2.39-$2.49. My FIL told me yesterday that it was still $2.59-$2.69 in the Corpus area and on his trip to the Valley on Wed. & Thurs. it was $2.69-$2.79.

Arlington/Alexandria VA, filled up at $2.99 this week.
San Juan PR at equivalent of $3.14 last week

$3.19 at my Chicago suburban Costco yesterday.

As an aside, they’ve put up lights to let you know which spots in the lane are open so, if the guy in front finishes and pulls out, you know to drive up the center aisle and take that pump. Had no wait to get gas on a Saturday afternoon.

$2.79 locally. I filled up Sat.

Prices have been stable for awhile.

It’s $2.91 in Little Rock. That’s 35 miles away.

Driving around doing errands…last week’s increase was to 3.19 [OH], so wasn’t expecting to see anything this week…

Until I spied a a Speedway @ 3.29. Looks like ALL Great Lakes states are following suit. No idea why: oil is down today along with wholesale, no war in the ME has broken out, and in point of fact the Saudis are hinting at boosting production today. Another refinery outage? Must still be on the summer blend too.

So that leaves the hurricane. So I’d err on the side of caution and top off ASAP if you can find a station which is still cheap and you live east of the Mississippi. I lucked into Meijer @ 2.69 just now (minus my 10 cent credit card bonus from the premium 3.69, but I didn’t have enough spare gallons left to take advantage of all the points I have accumulated, where 10 gallons is my break even point).

A new convenience store/gas station just opened down at the interstate exit and their gas yesterday was $2.55; that might have been the 10-cents-cheaper-with-cash price but the sign didn’t change fast enough. So maybe $2.45? I doubt it.

According to GasBuddy, my local Costco is up to $2.55. I filled a can of diesel for my tractor yesterday at $2.85. Not off-road diesel, just regular stuff.

Went by that gas station yesterday and the price was $2.75. The price I saw the other day is their “Club member” price. Don’t know, don’t care.

Oil up 10 bucks over the last week thanks to increasing tensions in the Middle East, so it’s top off time again.

$2.59 last fillup on Friday.

$2.78 at a Sunoco in North Haven CT.
$2.79 at a Shell in Orange CT
