Western PA is now up to $3.65/gal.
Murphy USA 3.19!
Upstate NY, $3.40. Up 50 cents since last week.
West suburban Chicago (Cook County): $3.65 - $3.70 today, about 40-50 cents more than it was before the Iran attacks.
I’m keeping an eye on two particular gas stations within a mile of each other near the Jersey Shore. These tend to be on the low end of prices.
March 3rd:
Costco $2.85
Wawa $3.15
Today:
Costco $3.15
Wawa $3.60
I’m up in Green Bay, WI visiting my parents.
When I was here two weeks ago, gas was around $2.40. It’s now $3.20.
Seattle was $4.39 Saturday. Probably more today.
Gas is very expensive here, but we don’t have a state income tax.
For California residents, here’s a map of average prices by county, claimed to be updated each morning.
Yesterday, the Arco nearest me was $4.199/gallon, and the tribal-owned 76 station was $4.159/gallon. I haven’t been out today.
KING5 posted on Facebook that Regular was $5.999 (six bucks!)/gallon at a Chevron station in Snoqualmie Pass. The image showed $7.499 for Diesel.
Just topped up the car at $3.40/gal. Gas prices really don’t affect me, as I only go through about a half tank every couple of months. We rarely leave the city limits and most of the time it’s just grocery runs once a week or so.
Just walked past a gas station, and Andoil, during my walk. Car wash price was $4.99, unleaded was $5.19. I filled my tank a week ago at a different but comparable station, and it was $4.19 credit.
3.39..
I was in town on the Friday when all this kicked off, but it happened after I got home. That day, I talked myself out of gassing up (half a tank was all I needed), and gas was $3.59/gallon. I paid $3.63/gallon the following Tuesday when I got back into town and considered myself fortunate.
Today my regular discount station is up to $4.05/gallon. The Chevron station just down the street is charging $4.49/gallon.
All prices are for regular.
I don’t drive much, so I’m not likely to be too much affected unless/until prices double. It pisses me off all the same. So unnecessary and stupid.
Today gas at the local HEB was $3.19. (South Central Texas)
I’m sure the last time I filled up it was under $3.00, probably $2.79 or something.
It would help if y’all would mention whereabouts (in general) you live.
When I lived in the country and worked in town, I was filling up every third day. Ouch! I don’t pay much attention any more because now that I live at The Home, I can nurse a tank of gas for about a month.
Ah, sorry. I figure everyone knows by now I live in Oregon. ![]()
Well, yeah…but you’re special!

[I wasn’t addressing you specifically. I used the general “reply” button, not the “reply to this poster” button.]
Northeast Ohio.
LOL, perhaps for a certain value of “special”… ![]()
But no; yours was a good point, and I realized I’d omitted to mention it.
Wichita area, still holding at $2.99. It’s been this price for over a week now, after it jumped 50 cents in the first few days of the excursion into Iran.
Western PA went up again today to $3.69/gallon.
