How can I search for threads and posts over a year old?

Is there way to search using an actual date?

I searched “all posts by magellan01” and only got 750 posts going back to May. and when I did an advanced search using information I know should generate results, I get 0 hits. Any ideas?

Thanks for that link. But I couldn’t find what I’m looking for. I can’t figure out how to combine daterange and poster name. I did what seemed logical, but I got zero responses for something that I know there are posts for.

i just did a search for my posts 1year and older and got results from 2006 - seems to be working fine for me.

I just tried a test search. I got unsatisfactory results when I left the “show results as threads” button checked, but good results when I selected “show results as posts.”

Which model are you guys using? Can you show me where you’re putting the daterange? Wait, are you using a date range, as in the link?

I presume on the advanced search page they’re going to “Find posts from” and selecting “a year ago” from the first dropdown and “and older” from the second.

That works fine for me (also selecting “show results as posts”),

Have you tried a google search?

For some reason, it doesn’t show all the results. Weird.

I tried this the other day and it wasn’t very useful. I tried it again with a bunch of variations and voila!
