How do I go about finding a paternity advocate/lawyer?

Not sure if this belongs in GQ, mods, feel free to boot it somewhere else if you want. Anyway, I have a co-worker who is divorced from a hose-beast in Illinois; she has basically spent the last year soaking him for everything he has while denying him visitation, returning presents he sends for the kids to the store and telling them Daddy didn’t send them anything, destroying his letters, etc. Long story short, he’s been trying to work with her like an adult, but events last weekend have shown that she doesn’t want to be an adult, so he needs a lawyer. He’s already spoken to one who wants to charge him $2500 to kick things off; he’s willing to pay it if he has to, but it would be a major hardship, as our pay is crap. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find him some help?

http://www.fathersrightsinc.com may be a place to start. there are quite a few organizations that help out fellows in your co worker’s situation.
