How do I tun off daylight savngs time on my iPhone?

it switched automatically and i need to turn it off - how do i do that?

A quick Google search reveals the process is automatic. You cannot disable it.

I don’t have an iPhone, but I do have an iPad 2 with a recently updated iOS. Let’s see if they work the same.

Touch the “Settings” app. Now select “General.” Scroll down to “Date & Time.” Slide the “Set Automatically” button to OFF. Select “Set Date & Time.” Now you can set the date and time to whatever you want.

That’s exactly it. I noticed the wrong time on my iPhone this morning and that’s how I fixed it.

He’s in Saskatchewan, where DST isn’t observed.

However, if the time zone is set correctly, the phone should know this.

Yup, it’s set for Regina, Canada, but still fell back.

I’ll try that settings thing, but then when I’m travelling it won’t reset to a new time zone automatically, right?

If I have "set automatically " turned on,
It says I’m in Winnipeg. If I turn it to “off” it says I’m in Regina. I can then change the time.

Weird. I have an iPad 2 here and with time set to automatic it sets the time zone to Regina and has the correct time.

ETA if it picks Winnipeg it should also show the correct time, since they’re back on standard time. So even weirder.

Well, now it is showing the correct Winnipeg time, so I guess I’ll leave it set like that so it will automatically update if I’m travelling. Still, it’s odd that it shows me in Winnipeg - any ideas how I can change it to Regina?

Never mind. Misread the question.

Arrgh! now all the appointments in my iCalendar are showing an hour later!

sort of inevitable, given the number of typos in my title line…
