You can also just click on the “reply” or “quote” button in the post you want to quote.
If you click on the “reply” button for the quote, and the post you’re quoting is a relatively long one – it helps to edit the quote down. Otherwise there’ll be a whole passel of folk saying, “Oh, no, someone’s quoting entire posts again!!”
And it’ll be the end of the world as we know it.
When I click on the reply button, the result only includes the last post text, prior quotes get eliminated. This often causes problems in context. Is there a way to override this and quote multiple levels?
No, you’ll have to do it manually. IIRC this worked before they installed the current release. Either the current release eliminated the feature or it was an add-on for the old release. I hope we get it back at some point, but there are lots more pressing things on the agenda.
Umm, seems like there is a lot being blamed on the “current release”. Didn’t anyone test this release before it went live? And wasn’t there a backout procedure in case things didn’t work right?
