I’m not saying this is true for miss Lohan, but I have heard these things happen regularly. I have heard about escorts happening with former miss universes, miss worlds, playboy centerfolds (and I mean multiple time playmates of the month), etc. This isn’t just for anybody and you won’t find an agency online, apparantly you have to be offered the opportunity for a date; again I have this just from hearsay and don’t really know how the initial contact with the agency is set up.
What a crying shame. She was actually a talented actress, and a very appealing performer. Hopefully she’ll get it together at some point.
I googled up some images. She’s awfully pretty when cleaned up and her hair teased up. She always looks like a mess, comparatively, on the gossip shows highlighting her court appearances and police mug shots.
From what I’ve read, Lohan’s income has plummeted in recent years. She supports her Mother & younger sister. She could easily wind up doing Escort Service work before much longer. I bet there’s some rich sugar daddies that would pay 5 grand for a night.
The house of cards will collapse soon unless she revives her acting career. Right now that seems very unlikely. She was photographed a few weeks ago with badly yellowed/damaged teeth. A classic sign of someone smoking crack.

I would guess she gets residuals for the work she already has done, plus she is in that zone where she gets paid to wear/talk about/use/tweet and go to places and things.
And yes she is a talented actress. I like the remake of Freaky Friday. She even sings in that.

If I played the Death Pool I’d definitely consider her a perfect candidate for the 27 club!
I hope the Morgue Duty she’s doing for her probation serves as a wake up call for her. No doubt her current lifestyle will end up there sooner rather than later. On the other hand, we have people like Robert Downy Jr who were on this same path, cleaned up, and have stronger careers than ever. People love trainwrecks, but we love redemption even more when it’s earned.

It was found that Amy Winehouse shockingly had no illegal drugs in her system at the time of her death, just traces of alcohol and Rx medication.
She was apparently trying to wean herself off of booze gradually, by using assorted tranquilizers and also reducing the amount of drinks she would consume each day, and had a heart attack or seizure in the process.
I knew very little about Amy Winehouse, but I have to respect her for trying to get her head straightened out, although obviously in hindsight, it wasn’t something she should have attempted on her own…
As stated upthread, one assumes Lohan’s income is largely based on getting paid to show up at clubs, residuals from when she was a working actress, and various other gigs (mostly overseas). I don’t know what La Lohan gets for a club appearance, but Paris Hilton gets thousands, which came out when she was sued a couple years ago. The residuals are surely no joke – Freaky Friday and The Parent Trap show up on cable regularly and she was the lead of both; Mean Girls appears less often but is still no stranger to the airwaves, and as the no-doubt top-billed star of that picture, I’ll bet she gets a bundle.

Another example (though she’s not in his class as an actor) is Drew Barrymore. She’s done an amazing job of getting clean and sober and remaining so.
Not trying to be a contrarian, but Drew Barrymore has been very open in recent years about how the AA/Sober Lifestyle just wasn’t for her anymore at this point in her life, and how she enjoys the odd night of social drinking with her friends.
I don’t know if she uses other intoxicants besides alcohol, but she apparently feels like alcohol is something she can successfully handle in moderation.

If she made many (most?) of her big movies while a minor, wouldn’t some of her earnings have been protected under Coogan’s Law? Maybe she’s living off investments - though earlier references to her parents make it sound like she didn’t have good management…

Saw Lindsay Lohan in Singapore a few years ago. It was '09 IIRC during the F1 Rocks concert where they had three days of music from some big acts in conjunction with the F1 Singapore Grand Prix.
Some big acts too, ZZ Top, Black Eyed Peas, No Doubt, Beyonce and a few more.
Anyway, on the second night Lindsay came out on stage between acts where she did some introductions. Done for a camera as she would introduce acts that were on different nights and some had already performed. The crowd was told to go wild as if whomever she was introducing was indeed coming up next.
She kept doing it over and over again as if she couldn’t quite get it right.
People in the crowd started booing her and she turned around and yelled: “Shut the fuck up!” Very classy.
I did see the show again on TV, and Lindsay only appeared a few times. Whatever they paid her to bring her all the way to Singapore just to do that, was probably too much.
Great concert though, I must say.
