I’m about 5 minutes away from the hospital where I wa born. It’s just up the highway from the town I live in now.

8.81 miles from the hospital* where I was born, as calculated by the AA route planner web page.

I have lived further away than this in times past.

*The hospital doesn’t exist any more; they demolished it shortly afterwards, although not just because I was born there, I think.

Well, I spend more than half my time at work which is 7932.48 (google earth) miles from the hospital where I was born, but I really don’t consider that my home. My home is only 421.76 miles away.

9.14 miles from current home to the hospital. This, is only because I boomeranged. I’ve lived as far away as New Orleans from Seattle, but I always seem to end up in the most beautiful place on earth.

In our area, you went to the catholic hospital if you were catholic, and the protestant hospital if you weren’t.

The protestant hospital was more protestant by default, in that it wasn’t the catholic one run by and staffed by nuns.

24.39 miles.

Since this is basically a poll, I’ll move it to In My Humble Opinion for you.

Wow! Where would that be, the Moon? Mars? The Oort Cloud? How’s the weather up there?

According to MapQuest, my current home is 98.59 miles from the house where I grew up. My parents still live in that area (although not in that house, alas), as do both my sisters, and we visit pretty often. It’s not far.
