Name more than 4 peers of the land.

I must not be a real geek, because I don’t even know who Watchmen are. Oh darn.

35-and some % – Major Geek. I must have gotten big points for being a girl, and for my media knowledge (I clicked nearly every box having to do with SF books and movies).

I’ll loan it to you.

Oh, and I was somewhere between 26 and 27%. Total Geek.

Bow before my geekness.

My girlfriend is starting to re-consider. She didn’t realize I have 3 computers at home…

OK - I’m a Geek.

Oh, and the value of “e” (base of the natural logarithm) is 2.718281828459045. Speed of light 186,282.396 miles/sec. Gravity 9.8 m/s. Lots of constant questions could have been added.

Now I’m going to be a geek & correct my technical error because it bugs me so…

Thought I’d get higher than that. Not sure if I’m supposed to be pleased or disappointed.

I am a geek among geeks.

Y’know, if I were to define ultimate geekdom, I would be much more expansive about what kinds of subject areas I included. I think there’s too much emphasis on technical/quantitative areas on the quiz (and some about related sci-fi and other literature that relates to technology), and not enough on liberal arts-type geekiness.

A particularly geeky example: my ex-boyfriend, a Russian and a science historian (is that geeky enough right there? A cross between a physicist and a historian?) once gave an example to a grad seminar for which he was a visiting lecturer. Apparently in Russian, the word for/concept of “science” (nauka in Russian) encompasses all academic and technical disciplines, such that Russian science historians are just as likely to study the politics of historians as they are to study more traditional history of science-type subfields, such as chemistry.

Now if knowing that bit of info doesn’t qualify me as a super-geek, I don’t know what does.

Agreeing with you, Eva Luna. (still: that question on Russian literature? Isn’t that liberal arts geekness?) I’ve met enough legal geeks to know that there geekness may turn up outside computers.

Maybe you could start a thread on the definition of geekness? I for one would be interested. (and ‘click’ goes the geek-o-meter).

hmm … 36.09467% - Major Geek. Sounds about right. Especially since I hear it from my wife all the time!! I’m more the game geek type; I liked all the Steve Jackson Games questions. I even toured their offices in Austin and met him once. Cool guy. Short though. Ack. I really am a geek aren’t I?

I think I lost points for not watching TV.

I should probably have gotten points for dividing my lawn into 5 sections for mowing, and labeling the sections A thru E.
