How Googlicious am I

Under my real name, three hits, all me.

Under “Ice Wolf” - 1150 hits, none me, most very cool, one for an “Ice Wolf message board”.

Heh. I’m honoured.

Username 9 out of 42 are me.
Real name 92,100 hits, im sure im in there somewhere.

Plus, I now have a cool “Ice Wolf” background for my desktop. Thanks, guys.

Only two Google hits on my name, and they both point to my name as a recommender of Scylla’s first Iron Chef competition. I never even realized that the reccomendation was accepted. Cool.

ITR Champion yielded a bunch of different crap, none of it related to me. I’m not on the people pages. My real name gave two entries for me, both pertaining to chess tournaments that I won.

User name: 26 900 hits, mostly Japanese furniture, some Turkish ex-premier, very little me.
Real name: 320 hits, of which about 4 are me.

User Name: About 210,000 hits, and I’m not searching through all of them to find me.

Real Name: 13 hits, all me.

Username: 7. Including http://www.straightdope.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000320.html. I wasn’t even around for the UBB software.

Real name: 12. All me. This is what I get for being the only person on Earth with my name.

Porn, porn. More porn, porn, porn. Bras, porn.

My real name brings up a letter I wrote to a site that was posted. Cool!

User Name: 60 results, all me. All SDMB and Metafilter stuff.

Real Name: 54 results, mostly me. Most related to either stuff I’ve written for MousePlanet or people linking to what I wrote. Someone at the Advanced Highway Maintenance and Construction Technology Center has the same name. Someone with my name was born in 1891 and died in 1974 (the year I was born, a sure case for reincarnation). Another me was born in 1829 and died in 1905. Yet another me got married in 1908 in Hardeman County, Tennessee.

Hmmm… My username is very popular with young Pagan boys…

A search on my real name reveals that I’m married to some dude named Franz von Speyr, who was born on June 20, 1542 but who died (so sad) in 1564.

With both my real name and my username, I checked up to page 13 before realizing that none of them were really me.

My screen name came up twice, the first my People Page and the second a petition I signed for Granny D, campaign finance reform champion.

My married name had nothing for me, but I came up twice under my maiden name.

That was a rush.

Pucette comes up first, with the people pages entry. Wahoo!
I know, it’s really not a big deal… The NYC Dopefest pictures aren’t far behind on the front page, thanks to Falcon.

My real name used to come up second for a website I’d made for a comp sci class, but since I graduated, they closed my account, so now I’m nowhere to be found :frowning: Time to make a new website!

Username: out of about 30, 3 are me. Two being from another board I’d lost track of.

Real Name: Out of 97 (-repeats), only 2 are me. Both from my Starfleet work. My earlier incarnation as an English Architect gets 45, with various civil war guys, the inventor of some type of stitch, and two editors being the rest.

That’s discounting the numerous hits for the brain surgeon in NY, who’s a professor at NYU I think.

The top two are mine (both picture pages related), the other three pages refer to some guy in Czechoslovakia…I don’t speak Czech so I don’t have a clue what they mean, but the other Odie seems to be a computer programmer, and strangely enough the last one is from Fathom.

Searched the web for opalcat. Results 1 - 10 of about 3,500. Search took 0.13 seconds

Almost all me… actually I didn’t find a non-me one until page 4, where there was an opal catalog.

I’m not sure whether to be proud or embarrassed.

Screen name: first hit is the SDMB people page for me, then there’s a bunch of pages on the great Arnold Winkelried (not me, the historical one).

Real name: five hits, where each time the person being discussed is me.

foolsguinea: 5 hits, 3 of which are on Fathom, and the other two of which also derive from me.

fool’s guinea: the top one is a links page with my (old) website on a list. If I specify “exact phrase” I get one more–Fathom board again. If I don’t specify “exact phrase” I get 1,000 other pages with “fool’s” & “guinea” both somewhere. bleh.

My “real” name: Almost half a million hits just putting my first and last name in. “Exact phrase” gets it down to about 3,500.

Apparently, I share my name with a Catholic Archbishop, a jazz musician, a publishing house, a medical illustrator, et al., and there is an Impressionist painter I’d never heard of whose first and middle name are the same as my first and last name. All this is news to me. I don’t seem to be on any of these hits though.

And I found the personal page of a chap in Canada with my first and last name, born the same year, whose parents have similar names to my parents.

Two hits for the exact phrase of my first, middle, and last names, neither one referring to me.

With my username, the first 5 or so are all definitions.

Damn. That’s what I’ve been reduced to, a definition!

goes off to sulk

Five hits for mobo85. All me! First two are my LiveJournal (which I’ve decided to start again), and the other three are my idea for a remodifiable globe that I posted on the Lazy Entreprenuer section of the Dilbert web site.
