Sorry about the link to the NY Post, I really don’t like sending them traffic. The story is in a lot of news outlets but the Post had a WAY better photo than the half dozen other outlets I checked.
The notes appear to be in a woman’s handwriting. I can’t find anything in any of stories about who wrote it. I’m curious, though - so I googled a sample of Ivanka’s handwriting and it didn’t seems to match ( I’m not an expert though and there were some similarities but the “y’s” and other dropped letters were really different.) I couldn’t find a sample of Hope Hicks’ handwriting but I’m betting she wrote this, it just kind of smells like her work.

Had anybody explained to him that means he was supposed to Shut The Fuck Up And Listen? Then again, I don’t think he would have listened to whomever was trying to explain, so there’s that.
I started watching the listening session yesterday afternoon, but about 15 seconds in when that girl started crying, I had to switch it off. I just knew I would end up throwing a chair at my TeeVee the second Trump opened his mouth. However, I manned up and switched back after a few minutes. I ultimately utterly failed the man-test, however, when that one boy made his speech and then started blubbering while the Sandy Hook mom spoke (sorry for all the shorthand, I don’t know from names). I had a real visceral experience there. I just squawked out like a chicken and tears stream down my face. It was unnerving.
So I collected myself and hung in. Sure enough, here comes Trumpy, looking like he was just forced to sit through a trigonometry class, telling all these kids that the solution to all their friends being killed is more guns. I did not throw a chair, but I wanted to.
At least he did ask who disagreed with him on that point. I’ll give him credit for remembering and sticking to that rhetoric; I’m sure it wasn’t his idea to add that.
Listening to that comes under the heading of “taking one for the (SDMB) team.” Thanks. I never could have watched it, but I was curious about how thump behaved. I’m glad the teens who wanted to cry did and didn’t do that adult thing of choking back tears because of where they were. Thump and the world need to see those tears (even though of course, nothing would move him except seeing his bank accounts down to only a million or so.)
I’ve always thought that a man weeping openly, especially at something like this, constitutes passing the man-test with flying colors.
I managed to listen to a bit more than that, but the combination of the survivors’ statements and Donald’s “Is it over yet? Can I go play golf now?” demeanor quickly became too much to stand.
Some people claim that Trump is intelligent, but if that’s true then how is that he comes up with the dumbest solutions for every problem? Building a giant wall in response to illegal immigration is truly retarded. Giving teachers Uzis is equally moronic. Until proven otherwise, I’m putting his IQ at 100, tops.
I think I heard this morning that he’s qualified his “armed teachers” solution, to limit it to teachers with military training. How many of these unicorns does he think there are? And if your school doesn’t have any on the faculty – sucks to be you, I guess.
Does the infantry do any pistol training at all? More importantly, under(simulated) fire?
