It helps if you parse it out: 86 45 11 03 2020
Fire #45 on November 3rd, 2020. Excellent! (Assuming, of course, that’s not already someone’s phone number)
A much shorter list would be how has Chump NOT pissed me off today. You’d need a microscope to see that one.
For me, that question is answered with the null set: {}.
I made the mistake of answering Biden’s Facebook chatbot; now I’m getting spam from Biden, Harris, both Obamas, etc. I’m a federal employee; giving you guys money is highly frowned upon! Quit bugging me!
As a federal employee, you can contribute to a campaign fund. You just cannot campaign, IIRC.
The emails I got were hysterical - there were several different themes.
First, there were 3 or 4 exhorting me to donate before midnight and my donation would be matched 700%. They never came right out and said that it was Donald Trump who would be matching my donation, but they implied it.
Because shortly after the deadline, Diamond and Silk dropped me an email telling me how important it was that we crush Joe Biden so Trump has agreed to extend the deadline another hour. I soon found out there was more to it.
Eric emailed me to tell me that his father was very disappointed in me (subject line : WHERE WERE YOU?) but had agreed to give me a second chance by extending his 700% match for another hour! So they extended it for me!
And his email showed a very scary looking table that showed my name (my real one even though I never gave it), my account number , and the word NONE next to end of month donation. Eric really didn’t want to have to show my donor file to his daddy and he begged me not to let the President down.
But the President must not have been all that let down, cause he’d been emailing me directly all night telling me he wanted to see me (subject line:YOU) . He wanted to impress me with his strength and watch him crush Joe Biden in the debate. He would pay my airfare, I’d get to stay in Trumps favorite hotel and have my picture taken with him (or a VERY lifelike cardboard cutout). Of course, I had to make a donation to be entered for a CHANCE to win this golden opportunity. But Donald really wants ME to be the winner, so I’m sure if I just send in a donation he’ll make happen. Or that’s what it sounded like.
I also noticed that while he said the winner would get to stay at Trump’s favorite hotel, they never said they’d pay for it. So he’s probably going to make the winner pay for that overpriced room at some tacky Trump branded dinosaur with flaking gold gilt and filthy carpet.
Donald also offered, in another email, to send me a free gift if I made a donation.
But
In another email from the same Donald j Trump account, someone promised me that if I made a donation now they would put my name on a special list that Trump would actually see - and I would be #5 on that list! This sounded like an awesome chance to extend to a horrible person who had donated $0 towards Making America Great, and I took it as evidence of Trump’s forgiviness . But I wondered why someone else was sending emails from Donald’s account, and why they would be trying to get me to pay them to give Donald my name when Donald has already personally asked me to come see him in Washington.
Now all these emails were chock full of the crush liberals sleepy joe phony kamala puppets of radical left fire fire crowded theatre fire socialist fire antifa rhetoric we all know, but if I describe one, I’ve described them all.
I also got a couple of merchandising offers during that time, offers to buy official Trump shirts and hats and flags.
I know campaigns can be heavy-handed with the fundraising, but this was insane - especially the attempts to lay on a personal guilt trip. He really is robbing his followers blind.
It should not be necessary for Federal courts to have to keep telling the Trump Administration how to do its %^&*(! job.
That’s pretty awesome. I’ve always wondered how stupid people have to be to think that “Donald Trump is going to see my name!”.
I read a while back about a contest Trump ran for a supporter to meet him. When the reporter tried to find out who had won, it appeared that no one ever had. The whole thing was just forgotten. Big surprise. Just like all his “in two weeks I’m doing this big thing” bullshit.
This is pretty incredible.
But tell us, @Ann_Hedonia how does it feel to be a member of the In Crowd??
I can see how some stoooopid! unsophisticated people could lie to fool themselves into thinking that they are now Donnie’s best friend.
Director of Strategic Response, indeed. Does the Trump campaign think this is a game of limbo?
That’s why I give them a forwarding account. I can always delete it and their pleas will go into Undeliverable Hell.
I’m wondering: Is Trump’s campaign really that short of cash or are they seeing the writing on the wall and frantically squeezing all of the grift they can out of the suckers before the gravy train derails?
After all, MAGAt fund-raising efforts seem to wind up with an awful lot of the funds sticking to the organizer’s fingers.
Oh, the campaign grift is a huge problem for Republicans and one most of them refuse to acknowledge. And it IS a Republican problem. There are some Democratic organizations that aren’t that great -Move On is one of the worst with 40% overhead. But an analysis of 17 Republican PACs showed that 10 of them gave virtually nothing to the candidates.
I’m convinced that it’s hurting them in other ways, they are focusing their campaign messaging around getting more money from hardcore supporters instead of trying to pull in more moderate voters.
And the official Trump campaign is a big scam, too. Seriously, take a look at his “campaign managers”. Paul Manafort. Steve Bannon. Brad Parscale. He’s not hiring campaign managers, these guys are money launderers.
And even the legitimate Trump campaign expenses go disproportionately back to Trump, for rentals and events at Trump properties. And there is every indication that the Trump Organization charges the campaign as much as they can get away with.
I have found a ton of reporting on this right wing grift, but I mostly post these two stories because they are from right wing outlets. Still, most conservatives would dismiss this as liberal fake news. It’s like they WANT to have their pockets picked, as long as it’s Trump doing it.
Correct. That’s what I repeatedly said on Facebook, which is how I know I was talking to a chatbot.
On the Biden side, the Lincoln project is apparently also a bit of a scam, but its run by Republicans so it probably just reinforces your point.
Your entire account is amazing (and horrifyingly hilarious, if there is such a thing).
But the creepy-factor of the real-name aspect is in another category entirely.
And imagine how all this personal-touch stuff is hitting Trump’s beloved Poorly Educated.
(my bolding in the quote)

Fucker’s still breathing. Worse, he’s still talking and tweeting.
At this point, his very existence pisses me off.
He’s got drugs or something just shooting out of his nose.
Warning, this is gross because it’s Trumps face up close.
A little more about the grift … apparently the Pubs had raised $1.1 billion (yep, with a b) between the beginning of 2019 and July and a lot of it has apparently gone poof:
Of the $1.1 billon his campaign and the party raised from the beginning of 2019 through July, more than $800 million has already been spent.
Brad Parscale, the former campaign manager, liked to call Mr. Trump’s re-election war machine an “unstoppable juggernaut.” But interviews with more than a dozen current and former campaign aides and Trump allies, and a review of thousands of items in federal campaign filings, show that the president’s campaign and the R.N.C. developed some profligate habits as they burned through hundreds of millions of dollars.
“If you spend $800 million and you’re 10 points behind, I think you’ve got to answer the question ‘What was the game plan?’” said Ed Rollins, a veteran Republican strategist who runs a small pro-Trump super PAC, and who accused Mr. Parscale of spending “like a drunken sailor.”
Bard Parscale is blaming Lil Jared.
