I think his appointment of Smith was right on the money, and don’t want him to fuck it up. I have no other opinion of him other than that I think he talks funny.
That wasn’t a request to speak with Garland. It was a standard tactic to keep PAB on the front page with a dose of “the latest big lie” thrown in. The letter was to the media and PAB’s cult. It had no legitimacy.
It seems like Trump always squirms free at the end because somebody else fucked it up. (Comey and his ridiculous Hillary announcement.)

Is Sen. Tim Scott particularly loathsome, or is he just garden-variety GOP 2023 loathsome?
Speaking for me, I’ve always found Republican policies repugnant. In these modern days, they don’t even have policies. Unless you consider tearing down the country and rebuilding it into a "Christian, Nationalist, Fascist, mess, that’s all "freedom-y, and you know … white.
I don’t know much about this guy yet, but he is a modern Republican. As I stated above their policies have always been repugnant. In this age, however, just being a Republican politician makes me highly suspicious that you are probably loathsome. The jury is out for me so far, but my money says probably loathsome.
I also side eye black Republicans. Why join a party that loves white supremacists? Makes me go hummm.
I always wonder about this, too.
Not to mention Log Cabin Republicans. Just how willfully blind can one be?
For me, women too. Republicans want you barefoot and pregnant. They are working real hard on the second part.
Because they’ve done a phenomenal job of maintaining the compartmentalization of their constituents. There are a number of single-issue voting blocs in the GOP who genuinely do not give a shit about the rest of the platform so long as they’re voting against abortion, or for corporate tax breaks, or against uppity women, or for the erosion of various components of the 1st amendment, or against the erosion of the 2nd amendment, and so on and on.
