Oh man it’s not like we need another gnarled speech from him tonight. I could hardly imagine it.
" “Deranged Jack Smith and I watched him yesterday go up and talk. He talked for about two and a half minutes. He was shaking. He was so scared. He didn’t want to be there. Because ultimately, these are cowards. They’re cowards.” - DJT
I watched Jack Smith speak. He didn’t look scared at all and he certainly wasn’t shaking. Trump, on the other hand, sounds pretty scared, not to mention deranged and cowardly. Projection at its finest.
Guessing that Trump was shaking, and it blurred his TeeVee.
I laughed.
Sounds like maybe Ivanka is extra sensitive to not being beloved by all, just like her dad.
“I said, that’s enough for the family. You know why? It’s too painful for the family,” Trump told Fox News host Bret Baier in an interview that aired in part on Monday.
And this beaut:
“Nobody has been through what my family has been through,” Trump complained…
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. What an oversensitive piece of shit this guy is. He and his family expected to just waltz in and be adored by the entire country for doing nothing (except grifting off the public).
Yup. Being a criminal is a lot of hard work. They found this out.
Seriously. The Obamas (not to mention the Clintons) might want a word.
Who knew trumps feel pain?
And you’ll win the love and admiration of less than half the country, so a lot of work for not enough reward.
Dan
Technically he’s correct, no family has ever had a US President indicted on charges for being a security threat and actively sabotaging his own country.
I mean, no POTUS has ever been as much of a piece of shit as Trump either. (I’d say Andrew Jackson might be second place.)
Really, his family has been through a lot, and they are victims, but they’re victims of Donald.
Yes, honestly speaking Trump has gotten mountains more bad press and attacks than any president in recent memory including criminal charges and two impeachments . But that is because he has done oceans more to deserve attacks and bad press.
Well yes, but we’re talking about POTUS families here. Quick review:
- Clinton: Daughter harassed and mocked; wife slandered and made into a right-wing punching bag for 30 years
- Bush II: No malice directed at family that I can recall, despite the POTUS himself being reviled by Dems.
- Obama: Wife called a transvestite and compared to an ape.
- Trump: Very little malice directed at family members who didn’t call it down upon themselves, with the possible exception of slurs against Melania’s past.
Trump complaining about what his family has suffered is pathetic, but hardly surprising from the leader of the We’re-All-Victims party.
I’m sure Donnie winces with every step due to the bone spurs that stopped him from winning the Vietnam War.
He’s breathing.
[Emphasis mine:]
“Yeah, it’s loyalty, I’m a big loyalist. You know, some people say some people right here in this room have told me, ‘Sir, don’t worry about loyalty. Loyalty doesn’t mean anything in politics,’” Trump replied, adding:
I said, “To me, it does.” I got the guy elected. He came to see me, let’s say, weeping because he was dead.
‘Sir’, and ‘with tears in his eyes…’

The question was simple: “So why did you hire all of them in the first place?” …
[T]he people Trump derided as a “gutless pig,” a “born loser,” and “the world’s most overrated general” were some of the most senior people in his administration. None of them were random, irrelevant staffers. Rather, we’re talking about his chief of staff, press secretary, secretary of state, the attorney general, and others of similar stature. There was seldom a time when an important figure left the White House and was not given a farewell stab in the back…
There is a reason it is really a question Trump can never answer honestly. It’s because the real answer entails him admitting one of two things: Either 1) he does not actually only hire the “best people” and know Washington “better than anyone else,” or 2) his animus toward most of these former employees stems not from poor job performance but from a personal vendetta…
But admitting either of these things makes Trump look stupid, weak, petty, and disloyal …
Grampa Simpson ‘24!
There was some occasional petty cattiness towards his daughters as I recall.
I’ve seen a very few catty remarks directed towards Barron as well. But far, far fewer than towards the “active” family members.
In general I agree the Democratic family members have gotten more abuse, however I think it is just a function of human society is that there will always be some dickwads everywhere, even if in differing numbers and vehemence. Not trying to “both-sides” too heavily here, but I think the basic takeaway is being an involuntary celebrity sucks ass in certain respects and anyone who is willing to subject their family to that intense pressures of public scrutiny by becoming (or even running for) president is to some degree kind of a selfish person.
Obviously when it comes to Trump that last is a vast understatement.
That same Trump family that was declared a criminal enterprise in a civil tax trial. The same family as officeholders in Trump Univ. that had to fold and return monies received as tuition to a fake school. The same ENTIRE family that start/skimmed all the receipts to their fake charity. That had to return all donations AND SIGN CONSENT DECREES INDIVIDUALLY barring them from ever starting or participating in a charity again. Are we talking that poor picked on family??? Oh the horrors!!!
The same family who’d been nepotistically appointed to grifting plum jobs in the White House?
He can get rid of those three extra states all by himself.
