How has the disgraced, CONVICTED FELON, former but once again President Trump pissed you off today? (Part 1)

One must evaluate incoming information to be confused. Kind of explains a lot about them, doesn’t it?

As a Liberal, I’d love to see the return of the 93% top marginal tax rate. Companies would invest in themselves and their employees, there would be money for awesome programs…

That’s true. America’s period of economic dominance occurred during a time when we had the most progressive tax structure.

More than the tax rate, the big multinationals will simply offshore the money to low tax countries. And even if they didn’t, the incentive is to have more stock buybacks to pump up the stock price rather than use that cash to invest in employees or infrastructure.

There were more restrictions on some of those practices in the past, but we’ve done away with so many of those gosh-darn industry killing regulations, don’tcha know?

I said moderate but really I’m a liberal. I am willing to look at both sides of things though. That’s why I call myself a moderate.

I’m, at 62 years old, not willing to put up with the GOP BS anymore. They have completely burned their bridges.

There have be some Republicans in the past that I may have considered. But if you’re still in the party of hate and fascism, G’bye.

Nuked their bridges, more like.

Yes, I have considered Republican candidates in the past. Even voted for a couple. But I will never, ever vote for a Republican again. I will never, ever even consider voting for a Republican again. Those that are not actively fascist are enabling the fascist movement by being the Party of Poltroons.

I’ve always thought that was one of the contradictions of modern Republicans that doesn’t get much attention. They laud those people* who join the military and say “thanks you for your service”. But they assume that rich people and corporations will hightail it to other countries if they can get a better tax rate. They want some people to risk their lives for the country, but no one should lose their money.

* They’re effusive with their support in words, but quite stingy in deeds.

Bolding mind. New word for me Johnny, thanks.

I think it describes them perfectly.

(Aside: I could swear there was a character in a movie or TV show named Sgt. Poltroon, but damned if I can remember what it was.)

Just had to come in here to give my periodic answer “He’s still breathing”

Perhaps you’re thinking of Sgt. Muldonn from the cinematic classic ‘The Green Berets’

Close, but no cigar.

Are you worried Trump may die and you won’t hear about it? I don’t think that’ll be a problem.

No, not worried, just disappointed.

I can hardly wait for the day he becomes eligible to have his face on a U.S. postage stamp.

Brave Brent Poltroon?

Have there been any Nixon stamps to date?

Yes - in 1994, to mark his death. I think they do that whenever a former president dies.

Hmmm…

I collect stamps. I look forward to the day they issue a Donald Trump stamp.
