Well, the association with Mother Theresa is appropriate: she loved dictators, took money under false pretenses, and caused untold suffering while claiming to do the opposite.

So long as you can find a bigger fool, they are a good investment, and there are lots of really big fools around. However the thing you need to remember is that at the time you buy them you are the current biggest fool.
Mother Theresa is the one choice that makes sense, because she makes Trump look virtuous and compassionate by comparison.
Plus, with her limited understanding of English, she won’t be as troubled by his unending stream of lies.
I think it was Ivana that said he had “Mein Kumpf” on his bedside table, though I’d be surprised if he’s read more of it than he has the Bible.

And now we have another incident (yet, I know…transfinite numbers were invented for this very thing) where he just makes up stuff, but still gets it wrong:

I just got back from your part of the world (fishing trip in Salida) and I was appalled by the pro-Trump displays I saw everywhere I went. Not surprised, just disgusted.
I’m rather surprised by Salida.
I live right on the border between a red county and a blue county. I’ve not seen so much as a MAGA hat in the blue county. I’ve only seen a few in the red county.
It was more the US flags flying everywhere on the way to Salida than the MAGA hats in Salida itself. The town seemed like a nice place.
That’s in case you forget what fucking country you’re in. Some people need reminding. Apparently often.
It’s just conceivable that Hopkins was on a talk show in the era when Trump was known primarily for The Apprentice and said he loved the show or something, that’s all I can imagine? Trying to ferret out the obscure origin of Trump’s addled lies is a full time job.
I believe you jumped to conclusions. American flags per se not automatically considered a sign of trump/MAGA support. I hate to think the MAGAts have co-opted the flag and now own it. In fact, I don’t believe they have. The American flag is still the flag of the whole country.
I rode past several properties on the way to Salida flying–no shit–20 or 30 US flags, often accompanied by TRUMP 2024 or TRUMP 2020 or TRUMP WON signs. I think I interpreted them correctly.
