How has the disgraced, CONVICTED FELON, former but once again President Trump pissed you off today? (Part 1)

More turpitude. More treason. More stupidity. More “look at me!!!”

"…Less than four months into his term, the coup-attempting former president was bragging to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Ambassador Sergei Kislyak during their Oval Office visit about the quality of the briefings he was receiving, and as proof offered details about a secret Israeli intelligence operation into Syria.

Israeli intelligence officials were incensed upon learning of the leak because, given Russia’s close ties to Iran and Syria, they had to assume that their local source for the information had been compromised and possibly killed, according to Israeli press accounts at the time.

“If indeed Trump, out of innocence or ignorance, leaked information to the Russians, then there is a real danger to sources that it took years to acquire, and to our working methods,” an Israeli intelligence source told journalist Ronen Bergman…"

"…The May 10, 2017, White House meeting was covered by Russian media, but not American media, and began with Trump telling Lavrov and Kislayak that he had just fired FBI Director James Comey over the agency’s investigation into his contacts with their country ahead of his 2016 election. The Washington Post, which first reported on the incident, quoted an administration official who said that Trump “revealed more information to the Russian ambassador than we have shared with our own allies.”

Some of us remembered it.

“Preserve, protect and defend, fine, whatever. But ‘support’? Fuck that!”

Ring Of Fire roasts his lawyers for even suggesting such idiotic BS.

“He didn’t commit treason. And if he did, I didn’t break the law. And if he did break the law, that law is unconstitutional, because that amendment doesn’t apply to him.”

I wonder what malarkey they’ll use for the next part of that nonsense: “…and if it does apply to him…”

I knew Joe was on here before Truth Social.

And that right there, folks, is why (a) I chose that term instead of using bullshit, and (b) love this place!

And if it does apply to him, it didn’t at the time. And if it did, it no longer does.

Much like the North and Pepperidge Farm. And Baskin Robbins.

I’m reminded of the way Hannibal Lecter used code to send a message from his prison cell telling serial murderer Buffalo Bill Will Graham’s address. (In the movie Manhunter and maybe also in Red Dragon)

Lecter supports, Trump, you know. Trump told us

A plot point in both.

I read the book, but it’s been a long time since I saw Red Dragon, and wasn’t sure if they used it in that version.

Correction: Lecter sent serial murderer Francis Dolarhyde to kill Graham in both movies (both based on the novel Red Dragon). Buffalo Bill was in The Silence of the Lambs.

I haven’t read the book in decades but I think his nickname was “The Tooth Fairy”.

He had a thing for pigs if memory serves.

I think pigs was the one after Silence Of The Lambs. Not as good, according to reviews. Some authors need to learn when to put down the pen on a character.

You are correct.

Also correct – the character in question being Mason Verger.

IIRC, Harris did not want to write another book and made it as unappealing as possible so they wouldn’t ask again.

And yet, he did write another: Hannibal Rising. It’s a prequel about his youth.

“Just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in again!”
