trump would think that was dumpy. It’s way too tasteful for him.
Yeah - where’s all the gilding?
And then sells it to someone.
Every day that fucker goes off on what a shit hole America is since he got ousted. Granted, I live in the Midwest, where time stands still, and I’m not the most observant, but since Obama I haven’t noticed much of anything at all different about the country. Everything is humming along, much like it always has.
Chiming in from the great Pacific Northwest. Things are fine here too. Not for everyone, of course, but generally the same as it ever was. It certainly wasn’t better in the Trump years
Same with me in the PNW. I’d say it’s better, but then again I can’t help but compare now to the end of Trump’s reign where we were at the peak of the pandemic.
That sort of thing makes it hard to objectively judge things in all honesty. You can talk about how bad of a job he did (that’s easy enough to do), but so much of what’s going on in the world and in our daily lives is outside of the control of the POTUS, or at least they have very little influence on it.
But it’s a core tenet of Trumpism that “This used to be the best country in the world, but now it’s one of the worst.” On this imaginary chart, 2017-2021 was a brief uptick, but since Biden took office the decline has only gained speed.
Naturally there’s not a shred of empirical evidence for any of it, and even the anecdotal evidence is cherry-picked bullshit.
Chart done in Sharpie no doubt. I doubt he’d get the dates correct. Or the XY axis.
I’m betting the time axis is incremented in fortnights instead of years.
I have said before and will say again, I think he’s much better off in jail than in the White House. The White House is full of endless obligations that he wants nothing to do with and powerful toys that he is not allowed to play with. Jail is jail but the White House would be hell.
Is he really a billionaire though? I get the impression that’s all bullshit and he’s really just an over-hyped grifter. Why else does he have to get all his followers to pay his legal bills?
A nine piece jigsaw puzzle ought to keep him occupied for a couple of years. The middle piece with no edges will stump him.
Nah. Give him one of those circular jigsaw puzzles. He’ll spend the entire time looking for a corner piece.
But he says he’s a billionaire, and if you can’t take the word of someone who has already been found liable for fraud, tells easily disprovable lies, and whose ego is the size of Cleveland yet is as fragile as bone china, who can you trust?
as fragile as bone china
Whoa there, I won’t have you impugning bone china, it’s excellent stuff. Granted, not quite as good as real hard paste porcelain, but it’s strong and relatively affordable.
hat said, Trump is gonna like being in prison.
I visualize Trump’s prison stay as being more like that scene in Goodfellas , with Trump being Paulie Cicer/Verioo (the Paul Sorvino role). I mean more for the ambience of steamed-up windows and general grunge because nobody cares anymore. It would lack the gourmet cooking aspect of it, because, as you’ve noted, Trump really doesn’t care about that. No slicing of garlic with razor blades into deliquescent pieces. He’d just have to flip open a bottle pf ketchup.
I was musing more in the general sense about what kind of stay any John Q Moneybags might be able to swing, not Trump specifically.
I saw that.
…it’s strong and relatively affordable.
Unlike trumpy.
