Even in the expensive NW, it is a bit over $3/gallon. In our holiday trip through expensive WA State, which has a carbon tax on gasoline, it was $3.40/gallon.
I gassed up the other day in suburban Chicago (outside of Cook Co.) and paid 2.99/gallon.
