This is remarkably like the way grade-school-age kids angrily go on and on and on and on about whatever their brother has done to them in the back of the car, and just won’t shut up about the list of their resentments and how unfair it all is.
“Happy Memorial Day”? The deaths of soldiers in combat is a celebratory occasion? I thought that’s something to commemorate, not go dancing in the streets about.
That clown is incapable of even faking an actual human emution, let alone faking it at the right time.
Yeah, I was going for that thing where he hears a fact that 99% of normal people already know, and acts like it’s some obscure bit of arcane knowledge. Like the Elementary-school level fact that Lincoln was a Republican. “Most people don’t even know he was a Republican. Right? Does anyone know? A lot of people don’t know that. We have to build that up a little more.”
But damn, he’s gone full-on narcissist now. Whether it’s the dementia or the tolerance everyone gives to his baser impulses, after “Happy Memorial Day to All…” he doesn’t even pretend that the post is about anybody but him.
Have you ever accidentally added a misspelling to your autocorrect’s dictionary? That can do it. At my last assignment in the Navy, there was a civilian worker who always ran spell-check before he printed a document, but of course he added every misspelling to the dictionary. Sheer genius!
I was talking about “Alison.” But maybe there’s an Alison Cooper on CNN that I’m unaware of. I don’t watch CNN. I thought it was an Anderson Cooper slur.
“Alisyn Camerota. She’s a fine girl, you know, like Brandy who served sailors on a port in a western bay. Brandy served what? A hundred ships a day? Must be a pretty tired girl–you know what I mean. Like Stormy after a film shoot. Listen, I met Stormy at one of my golf clubs, and she was exhausted. Something to do with Johnny Wadd or maybe Ron Jeremy, I dunno.”
I’m trying to channel my inner @Smapti , but it’s not working. He does it so well.
“Former United States President Donald J. Trump, currently facing 34 felony counts in criminal court, is campaigning for re-election this fall by taking shots at the increasingly popular electric car industry. Trump has already called for oil and gas industry executives to donate significant campaign funds in exchange for a reversal of Biden administration climate policies. If elected this November, Trump would roll back tailpipe emissions targets and dramatically slash EV tax credits. These policies may prove unpopular even among Republican voters, as electric vehicle production has spurred job growth and investment in southern states.”
