How has the disgraced, CONVICTED FELON, former but once again President Trump pissed you off today? (Part 1)

Guess which former president didn’t create a video clip commemorating Jimmy Carter’s 100th birthday?

(He did mention Carter at a rally, saying that Carter should be grateful to Biden for taking over the “worst President ever” title.)

The comparison is even worse when you consider what they did with their time, especially after office.

Jimmy Carter has been working for decades to help people get decent, affordable housing and has literally worked hands-on to provide a visible example of how to help reach that goal.

Trump has been a slumlord, got caught denying housing to minorities, and is widely acknowledged as being particularly sleazy, even by the standards of the NY real estate market. And spent his time after losing re-election to grifting his supporters and whining like a toddler.

It’s true! Every accusation is a confession!

Well, the more immediate goal is that if women are brought to a sufficiently-low status, none of these guys will ever again face the humiliation of seeing a woman displaying her actual opinion of him (even if with a polite silence).

The only freedom that matters is that of the only actual humans: the rulers. The freedom to be free of worry that the sub-humans could disrespect them, defy them, arise in revolution, etc. etc.

What @dasmoocher linked seems to date from 2015–so apparently the writers wanted to make clear Biff=Trump about the time Trump started running for President.

My point, though, wasn’t so much about Biff=Trump as it was that Trump’s fans seem to admire bullies. Whether or not they see the resemblance between Biff and Donald when they watch the movies, they must surely like and approve of Biff, and see him as the center of the movies’ plots.

Hang on, I gotta write that down…

Given how most of his special occasion posts read, he should be congratulated for not doing so.

You knew that at the time? Either you’re a lot more talented/famous than you let on or your parents are/were.

I knew that he tried to rub shoulders with “Big Shots” all the time, that’s just the grifter in him. I knew he failed in making West Coast people fans of him. I heard the rumor about ‘Back to the Future’ only about 10-15 years ago… but by then it was such old news people laughed if you didn’t know about it.

( Don’t admit it, call me a name & tell me your maiden aunt dated a stuntman or something. But that must have been a cool childhood… for ‘somebody’ . )

I’m not sure that’s required. I know I was a dedicated reader of People Magazine back in those days – used to fight with my boss over which one of us got to read it first – and Trump was regularly featured. The assholiness and bullying came through loud and clear, even then.

Heck, Trump was getting skewered regularly in Bloom County around that time too.

He was! I love Bloom County and always read it, but probably didn’t pay much attention to the Trump ones. I detested him even then.

Trump has been a punchline for decades. In years past it was “hah hah! that’s supposed to be Trump!”, more recently it’s been “hah! that’s…our president… :face_with_diagonal_mouth:.

I think Uncle Duke was the Captain of his yacht in Doonsbury at that time, too.

And for movies, not just BttF but as a punchline (in the sewer) in “Scrooged” - “Oh, this is nice. Where are we? Trump Tower?”

I loved Bloom County and read it all the time. I think much of my early impressions of him came from that strip.

I used to own a copy of the book Night of the Mary Kay Commandos but I lost it at some point.

I was given a copy of “Yuge!: 30 Years of Doonesbury on Trump” recently, and only realized today it was from 2016, after googling to confirm the correct name.

It covers the period starting in 1987.

There have been two follow ups, “#Sad!” and “Former Guy.” Trump is a goldmine for Trudeau

I first paid some attention to Trump in the mid-'80s because I played high school football then and was interested in the USFL. Trump was pretty much responsible for causing the league to fold in his effort to become an NFL owner, so I’ve always had a pretty low opinion of him and one that has been independent of his tabloid escapades (which didn’t help). I’ve always seen Trump as a POS and con man.

In 2015-16, I was amazed at first how this wasn’t blatantly obvious to anyone, but then I would see posts on Facebook about how Trump is always the smartest person in the room and such a super successful businessman by people who I guess thought The Apprentice was real.

No one’s mentioned Spy magazine as their first notice of Trump? I had a subscription in the 80’s, and it was my introduction to the “short fingered vulgarian” AKA Donald Trump.

That was back when my conservative parents hated Trump because he was a greedy, rich asshole that had mistresses and appeared to be the most vile human on the planet. Now, my parents love Trump because he is a greedy, rich asshole that had mistresses and appeared to be the most vile human on the planet.

I see that Trump is now referring to Governor Walz as “Tampon Tim”. This is apparently because Walz signed a bill last year mandating menstrual products be available in school bathrooms. The guy is seriously fucked in the head.

I think he’s been using that great nickname for a while now. So funny!
