At the State Dinner, Donald was absolutely incapable of speaking a few words on his own; he had to read prepared remarks off of what looked like a big yellow legal pad. (Poor King Charles, having to sit and eat next to what must be a major stink.)
In addition to the protests mentioned upthread, UK television is showing what’s billed as a marathon of Trump lies:
ABC/Disney suspends “Jimmy Kimmel Live” indefinitely due to remarks he made about Kirk and the shooter.
His remarks were about how MAGA was more interested in finger pointing than grieving. He neither characterized Kirk or the shooter.
Kimmel said: “The MAGA Gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said.
Sounds pretty accurate but innocuous to me. ABC/Disney should be ashamed of themselves.

I just heard a snippet of dumb donald’s speech. Absolutely embarrassing, still rambling about how the “US was a dead country and now it’s the hottest”. The hottest? That was after he read what was supposed to be poignant and presidential address, but sounded like the slow kid who gets asked to read out loud in class.
Maybe he was referring to the climate.

Trump has now designated antifa as a terrorist group.
Earlier this week, after a reporter asked Mr. Trump if he planned on designating antifa as a domestic terror group, he responded, “it’s something I would do.”
Those Antifa card carrying members are probably shaking in their boots! I hope they learn from the 3-percenters, the Proud Boys, and the Oath Keepers and stop wearing their signature gear and insignias!
I saw a photo of Trump and Melania from the occasion and he looks terribly sick. His hands are blue, making the makeup he’s applied to his right hand stick out like a sore thumb, and he’s wearing a slack expression with an open mouth revealing just the teeth on his lower jaw. I find the photo very comforting.
