How often is this ballroom needed anyhow? How many state dinners are held at the White House each year? The Wikipedia list shows only two during Trump’s first term. Couldn’t they just rent a hotel ballroom instead? On the other hand, perhaps the new White House ballroom could be made available for rental by outside groups, like local high schools for their proms.
