It’s true that if Maxwell is granted clemency she will say in public ‘Donald Trump never had contact with anyone under 18 in his life’ (or whatever). And no, her denial doesn’t begin to approach “proof” of anything at all, other than that she made a deal.

Some believe that Donald is aware of the minimal value of a Maxwell “exoneration” statement, and therefore has no intention of giving her a commutation or pardon or anything. Certainly once he gives one to her, she’s free to start telling the truth. With his mob-boss instincts he’s not going to put himself in that position.
She’s likely out of luck, no matter how many lies she promises to tell.
I suspect she’d do the former in anticipation of the latter happening even if she did keep her mouth shut. She’d know that all those whose continuing power depends on DT remaining President, would be worried about what she might do if she chose.

Re Ghislaine Maxwell, such blatant request to be bribed would totally be ignored by the Supremes if it were to happen. It’s not a bribe, it’s a Gratuity. It’s a favor for a friend.
Promising to tell a story that would just happen to not implicate her in any further wrongdoing while also “corroborating” Trump’s claims of innocence is so obvious that only a MAGA would fall for it.

Minor update to the Gordie Howe Bridge drama; Trump’s sudden rambling was due to fresh lobbying from the Moroun Family trying to prevent the bigger and newer bridge from effectively replacing the one privately owned by them, the Ambassador Bridge, as a critical artery of trade.
For context, the Ambassador Bridge has long been a major passage between Canada and the US in Michigan, and one of the rare few still privately owned. The Moroun Family has long abused their control over the bridge to often set high toll fees that travelers have to pay or else take the long way around, but never really used the tolls to update and improve the bridge. They claim they have perpetual exclusive rights to collect tolls from travelers going into or out of Canada via Michigan, and that the new bridge would violate that.
The new bridge was jointly planned between Michigan and Canada and built partly due to rising traffic issues and increasing tolls at the Ambassador bridge, as well as to help increase overall day tourism and trade in general (it features a dedicated biking and dedicated pedestrian lane). The Moroun Family had unsuccessfully lobbied several times to prevent its construction, as the new bridge would allow for a greater flow of traffic and shift business closer that way.
